I absolutely love this veterinary clinic. When I initially brought my sweet bulldog to Hillside Veterinary Clinic, they examined her thoroughly and promptly referred us to Dr. Sally Purcell, a veterinary internist, at Dallas Veterinary Specialists (located on the second floor of the building) My dog was diagnosed with lymphoma, and every team member of Hillside Veterinary Clinic and Dallas Veterinary Specialists were completely compassionate and helpful throughout each chemotherapy visit/ treatment. I couldn't have asked for better service and/or people. Unfortunately, I lost my bulldog last month, but the support I have received from each practice has been remarkable. My dog happily lived for 6 months during her chemo treatments - carefree, comfortable, & joyful!! These people have beautiful, selfless hearts, and I would recommend either practice to anyone!

This is a really great vet! The only complaint that I have is sometimes the waits are long once you arrive. Other than that, I have been very happy with all of the services that I have received. I love that the office is open 24 hours. It's great for people who work full time so that you can come in during evenings or weekends. The vets have all been very friendly and caring for my dog. All of the treatments have worked well and I feel like the prices that I have been charged have been fair. I will recommend this clinic to friends!

Thumbs up for being open 24HRS at average clinic costs. My 10+ year old dog lost consciousness at home several times and we rushed to Hillside at 11pm several weeks ago. Staff were very upfront with their fees when they asked to do more assessment work like xrays and ultrasound. There was some kind of undisclosed triage fee on the final bill but considering the circumstances, we paid and happy we left with at least a treatable diagnosis of a heart murmur. The vet was almost too calm that it was even more unnerving but seemed to be just her mannerisms. She was very understanding when we expressed concern over the long-term costs in treating with THREE medications off the bat even with a recommendation of further cardiology tests that she could not do. We went to our regular vet for a followup who said they didn't think he needed all 3 meds but preferred to do their own tests before concurring with medication refills. Although I do not mind coming back to Hillside, the hesitancy from my regular vet with Hillside's diagnosis and treatment was concerning & just not in our budget to redo $250-300 worth of tests. So we feel we have little choice but to continue to return to Hillside or find a new vet. However we researched his diagnosed condition on our own & feel more comfortable with the treatment. Sadly our own efforts to learn of his condition was more informative than the vet was during our emergency visit - it should have been better explained or even documented on our papers going out the door for our own records. Callbacks from us to the vet to give an update on our dog's condition and treatment questions were not returned - this could be an improvement on the vets' behalf to build trust/rapport & gain repeat customers in the future. Their online portal needs significant update to be user friendly and apparently does not update any original visit information. I've called in to refill medications as they only fill for 21 days at a time. Online portal does allow to request med refills but not necessarily user friendly for multiple med refills. I do wish that their online portal would have included vet notations from our visit. The receipt they gave for our initial vet visit also failed to document the diagnosis so we have had to ask for this during a refill pickup 3 weeks later. Although there are other vets in the metroplex with lower costs for checkups and procedures/tests, the cost inflation is reasonable and much cheaper than any other emergency care vet. (Example: Vetsavers Pet Hospital dog exam $39, Hillside $66) Some of the front desk staff seem either inexperienced or unable to handle much multitasking as several times I've had to remind them what I'm here while waiting (refills, proper documents). Also the building layout is a bit inconvenient and worrisome at times when I don't get to see my dog for over an hour while he's being "examined".

I have been an ongoing client of this Clinic for three years. My dog was recently diagnosed as terminally ill and Hilside Veterinary Clinic really helped me to come to terms with the fact that I was going to have to put her down. When the time came, the staff was very informative, loving and caring. They made me comfortable with the decision I had made and assisted in making my dog, Lilly, feel safe in her last moments. Thank you all so much.

My dog Rudy was vomiting around 12am and I was panicking because I could not afford to take him to an emergency clinic. So my friend said she had heard of this hillside place that was open 24/7 at reasonable fees!!! I didn't know what I was getting myself into but I knew Rudy needed help. The office was great!!! Very modern and clean!!! The staff were very caring and kind!!! The vet tech and vet were amazing!!! I think we have found our permanent vet for Rudy!!!
