UPDATED REVIEW: I have 4 large dogs, and I'm neurotic about their health and wellness. I started taking them to NEVC only when my usual vet couldn't fit us in, but now, I take my pups to NEVC for everything. Here's why: 1. Convenience. On a weekday, I'm usually seen by a vet in under 20 minutes despite not having an appointment. This is highly convenient since my schedule is inconsistent. In my experience, the wait is longer on the weekends (like 1-1.5 hours, depending on many different variables), but that's still not bad considering the service they're providing. 2. Price. I would expect a clinic that accepts walk-ins to be much more expensive, but they're not. Actually, the examination fee is the same as my previous vet who only took appointments. 3. The vets. I've taken my pups to Dr. Giles, Dr. Goodman, and Dr. Terrazas. They've all been extremely friendly, understanding, empathetic, and took the time to answer my many questions. Dr. Giles is especially amazing. I was really upset over a recent accident my dog had, and he made me feel much better while still being straightforward and honest. He explained everything to me very clearly, and I really trusted his decisions and appraisal of my dog's condition. He encouraged me to call and ask questions if I needed, which I did, and he was extremely kind and patient on the phone. 4. The staff. Monica at the front desk is always kind, patient, knowledgable, and helpful. The vet techs and assistants have always been nothing but professional, knowledgable, and empathetic. They won't hesitate to comfort you if your pup is going through a rough time. Plus, they're always really gentle with my dogs and understanding of any temperament issues they have. 5. Transparency. They lay out the cost before they treat your pet, so there are no surprises at checkout. Plus, the vets really try to avoid unnecessary testing, saving your pet stress and you money. 6. Emergency care. I took my German Shepherd in for an emergency visit on a busy Sunday. On the phone, the receptionist told me that the wait was about an hour, but they'd see us sooner if it was an emergency. The second I arrived and told them what happened, they had a vet assistant check my dog over for signs of shock and anything else that needed immediate attention. Even though he was in stable condition, they still had us in a back room in less than 5 minutes. They were kind, compassionate, and gentle even in an emergency situation. NEVC, thank you so much for taking care of my dogs, especially after Jax's accident. I don't know what I would have done without you guys. P.S. In my first review that I made several months ago, I made an offhand comment about the interesting patio furniture in the exam rooms. They've now replaced them with really nice leather seats :)

Have been coming here for years. Based on my experience, the entire staff is so helpful and kind to the patients and their family. Rooms are clean and lobby has lots of room for all. When I have a question I am able to call and get the information and the new app they have is very helpful when it comes to keeping up to date with appointments and vaccines. I recommend them to friends and family.

I brought my dog Sandie in for an emergency blood transfusion and continued her follow up exams with NEVC. I would like to acknowledge and thank the two vets that have been helping Sandie get better. Dr. Suau and Dr. Terrazas have been very professional, informative and hard working. This was my first time at this clinic and I was very pleased with everything. As soon as I arrived, I was greeted and helped by a young lady named Letty or Leticia. She was so nice and helped me with Sandie. The entire staff at the front desk was helpful. I couldn't get everyone's name (sorry) but, all of them were professional, very helpful and friendly. I enjoyed my experience here and felt comfortable with the staff and confident that they could provide good care for my Sandie at a reasonable cost. Thank you to the entire staff! I plan on making Sandie and Snickers (our other dog) new patients of yours!

I have taken all of my dogs and love how they are treated. I compete my dogs (Huskys and Malamutes) in different compactions like weight pull, best in bread, sled racing and so much more and they always make sure they are in the best health for everything they do. I love how they treat my dogs and make everything feel so personal.

Worst vet I've ever seen... We just adopted two puppies from the animal shelter and wanted to take them in for a general checkup. We discovered ticks on them the other day, so we asked Dr. Heinig what would work best for our 9 week and 7 month puppies. We also asked what yard sprays would work best for them, and the only guidance she had was to "check with the local pest control people." Are you kidding me??!! As a vet, she should know about the products sold in pet stores and should know what works best and is safe for our pups. The other question I had for her was guidance on making homemade dog food since we want to feed our dogs the best. Her advice? "Homemade dog food really isn't that good. You should stick with Purina One or something similar." This just blew my mind since Purina One is one of the worst brands you can feed your pet. The level of knowledge that the staff has at this place is incredibly low and disappointing. There was nothing that went right on this visit. A total waste of money and a waste of our entire morning (we were there a total of 3 hours just for a simple wellness checkup).
