Was recommended here. I made my appt. and was scheduled two weeks out. Lady on the phone was nice and helpful. She told me to bring my dog in for dental in the morning (never told me an exact time). We show up at 9am. Was overlooked twice by the people in the front. Finally after 15 min. or so an older lady ask me what we needed. I said dental, and she immediately said it was to late and was very short. I told her I didn't understand as she stated the rules that they only take dental between 7:30 - 8:30. I continued to plea considering we have waited two weeks, took off the morning of work and sat at least an hour in traffic in the rain just to make it here this morning. She checked in the back with someone, returned and said something about how the day has changed and said I could leave my dog but wont be able to get her until the next day And there will be an added charge. Obviously I'm not thrilled at this point and said I cant leave her over night. This women's response was "YOU CAN TAKE HER SOMEWHERE ELSE THEN!) I was floored! This was how she handled a new customer. I got up and left! I recommend you take your pet somewhere else. This place doesn't deserve your business.
'The Ol' Bait And Switch' My Vet reccomended this place to board. I called and said my Dog had the required City of Fort Worth shots. Was told that was 'fine' and to bring the dog over. So, hours before my flight I dropped in with the dog to leave him. The counterfolk looked at my records and had me fill out information then informed me on top of 14 dollar a day charge I'd have to pay 'for their round of shots' including Parvao, Bordetella, rabies etc at a cost of 29.00 all with a wink and a smile. Sorry. that was not mentioned to me when I called and I HATE bait and switch places. They continued to tell me how important it is to get those shots and I pointed out that you can buy those vaccines at any feed store for 5 dollars each. Long short of it, I found a pet sitter at the last minute and left my pet at home. Either this place is already infected with Parvo and covering it's A$$ (as a shot does no good to a dog exposed to Parvo, it takes a day or too for protection to begin) or like so many vets this place is money hungry. I guess they figure many people just fork over the dough and don't say anything about their HIDDEN COST. Go with a pet sitter, it's a few dollars more and your beloved animal is not exposed to all kinds of nasty stuff and you don't have the money picked from your pocket at the last minute. BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!
I had to get my 2 yr old Pit mix spayed but unfortunately didn't have the $300 every vet I called wanted. My coworker/friend recommended ABC because that's where she has been taking her cat & dog for a while. I loved the vet that Angel saw enough that she was taken back there when her leg was hurt. One thing I really liked is how big the exam rooms are, and that the vet was not afraid to get down on the floor with Angel so she would be more comfortable.
I had a great experience with ABC Animal Clinic last year. Had to bring my toy poodle and found out she had luxating patella in her knees of her back legs. Also, they found an infection in her uterus which caused her a lot of pain when others did not and assumed it was just the luxating patella without even testing for other issues. I know that was the issue because she has not been in that amount of pain anymore since the uterus was removed. She still has some pain when she strains her legs because of her knee condition which we just don't have the money to pay for right now, but doesn't compare to how it was before. Everyone was very attentive and the surgery vet explained how the luxating patella occurs and how the surgery would be performed when we are ready do so. I guess it depends on the day, everyone has a bad day because I've had a great experiences in every one of my visits and would definitely recommend ABC Animal Clinic to my friends and family.
Had a great experiece at ABC Animal Clinic today. Brought our shop dog "Brownie" there with a cut foot. Dr, Snodgrass was VERY professional and detailed in explaining his diagnosis and recommendation for treatment. I was also very impressed by the way he asked questions about Brownies lifestyle and offered ways we could help as a company "family" to better take care of Brownie. All the while not being judgmental but just "friendly" When discussing her shots he clearly explained what and why he recommended certain shots over others. There was never any pressure to purchase more than what was needed. Just a great down to earth vet. The assistant (and ugh I cant remember his name) was very helpful and explained everything. Overall just an all around great experience with this group. I wont ever consider taking Brownie any where else. Thanks ABC Animal Clinic!
