This place is pretty great! I trust them tremendously with the health of my pets! I was a bit surprised today when they wanted to charge me 50$ without doing blood work or anything. I felt like last time, because I was scheduling a surgery, that the wellness visit was included. I will call and figure it out exactly but I think a quick chat and check shouldn't cost 50$ when I am scheduling a 300$ surgery. Staff is GREAT! As a Hair Stylist I never charge for a consult, you get to spend time with me and build that relationship it's not until services are performed there is any kind of charge. Like I said, I love this place and they always make me feel comfortable and knowledgeable but I think charges should be tailored to your guests. Hard to understand a 50$ charge when nothing was really done other than chatting about my pet.

Honestly, the vet I had visited with was a great vet. She was nice and kind and took the time to answer my questions. The facility itself is clean and seems very well maintained. The problem with this animal hospital, however, is that it is typically double the amount I pay at other vets. When I had my first appointment about a year ago (2013), I wasn't told of certain charges beforehand (that erked me). Recently, I called to make an annual appointment for my dog and the lady on the phone couldn't answer my questions. I asked specifically what shots were "required" and she kept giving me extra answers, with a follow up answer saying it was "extremely recommended." I asked her again, and she simply laughed and said, "it was only $14.00." Well, today I took my $14.00 all the way to another Vet.

Last night my 6 lb chihuahua stole a 4oz bar of dark chocolate out of my purse and ate the whole thing. He could have been a gonner, but Dr. Norris and her staff went above and beyond to make sure he was taken care of -- induced vomiting, gave fluids, checkups throughout the night, even an EKG to make sure his heart was okay. The nurse (I'm sorry I don't remember her name!) took time to comfort me and my husband as well as explain all the procedures he'd need. My only complaint would be the price. I'm willing to pay more to be sure my baby is taken care of, but there were a few things about the place I found a bit extravagant -- is it really necessary to have TWO flat-screen TVs in the waiting room? And for all the paperwork to be printed in full color? I think they could cut a few of the costs without compromising on care.

This place is incredible. We had to say good bye to our sweet 16 year old furry child Freckles this morning and we could not have asked for better people to help in this heart wrenching time. We lost our 18 year old furry child a few years back and I will not mention the vet but they were super clinical and unfeeling. So I know if they are going to show people and dog they had never seen before this much wamth and understanding they must be totally awesome to there patients and thier owners.

We have been seeing the vets at Hulen Hills for 6 years and we have been very pleased with the care. Yes, it is more expensive than other veterinarians, but we feel like we receive better than average care. We normally see Dr. Niglazzio and he spends a lot of time explaining our dog's diagnosis and any meds needed. We have used them for our dogs teeth cleanings and the vet personally has called us to explain the findings. We receive better care for our dog here, than we personally receive from our human doctors!
