I have a new puppy which I took to Dr Metlzer for her first round of puppy shots and which the Dr gave her an Exam at that time which was $48.00. I took her back for her second set of shots and was charged for an Exam again, which they said the Dr does to make sure the puppy is healthy enough for the shots. Come on……….. HOW MUCH CAN CHANGE IN 3 WEEKS. JUST THINK ITS SAD HOW THEY STICK PEOPLE FOR UNNECESSARY CHARGES. They all try and give good service its the way they rape you pocket book. How much bad can happen to a dog that only goes outside to Pee & Poop. Rethinking the need for an expensive VET bill. The small town Vets down charge these high prices. Guess its worth a drive to save.

I've been taking my pets to Dr. Karen Metlzer since they were at their old location on Beach St. (near Basswood.) I've had a hamster, rabbit & my cat ("Mike Tyson" -still current client) all treated like royalty by Dr. Metzler and her staff! The hamster had an overbite and his teeth needed to be trimmed routinely; my rabbit was spayed and she nearly died from "stasis" - not eating - but was saved by Dr. Metzler coming back to the office in at night and giving me emergency care and feeding instructions for "Peanut." Mike Tyson continually gets into cat fights and has needed emergency wound care and draining of cysts. Summerfields Animal Hospital offers pampered treatment and charges competitive prices! I've compared their prices to other animal hospitals and they do not gauge their customers. Also, their facility is exquisitely decorated with photography of wild animals that Dr. Metzler has taken herself and the whole place is amazingly crystal clean!

Summerfields has been my vet for a couple of years now. They take great care of my dog. We've been in for general checkups, shots, toenails, kenneling and most recently minor surgery. Everyone is professional and courteous, and they take their time with you. Their quality of service is great, facilities are clean, service is prompt, and pricing is fair.

The Summerfields staff are the best I've ever dealt with before. When I had to have my dog that I'd had for 13 years put down, they were so caring. They were attentive to my needs and cried right along with me. An incredible bittersweet experience. They also sent me flowers a week later. And this is not to mention the great well pet care they've provided for both of our dogs. DO NOT LOOK ANY FURTHER FOR AN ANIMAL HOSPITAL/VET! YOU WILL FIND THEM AT SUMMERFIELDS!!!

WE have 3 dogs , various sizes and Ages 14 to 10 . We First took Our only pet to Summerfields Over 10 yrs ago for a check up ! I am Proud to say that Over the Years as we've added Rescue Dogs , Summerfields HAS been and WILL REMAIN our PETS Animal Hospital ! THEY LOVE the STAFF as Much as We DO ! The STAFF ( every one ) IS GREAT , KIND and Gentle with EVERY ONE of our Pets as well as EVERY PET who Comes in for a Check up Or Just a VISIT ! The STAFF and Business has Grown Over the years. I must SAY BOTH ARE STILL " FRIENDLY and CONCERNED" with the Health of EVERY PET ! OURS LOOK FORWARD to SEEING the STAFF , Whenever We take them in for Check ups , Routine or Follow up !
