Dr. Bobo and his staff are amazing! I can't possibly see how the people leaving reviews could even have such an experience. Ever since I've been going there, I don't feel like I have seen new faces, except for the kennel staff when I've boarded my dog. From the girls up at the front to the guys who help the doctors. Their groomer isn't there anymore, but that's about it. (I'm a frequent flyer to this place) I highly recommend Dr. Bobo. He's one of those doctors who you just feel comfortable around. You know he knows his stuff and actually cares about your pet. Never once have I felt he was trying to scam me, and my old girl is a "special dog". She has a history of seizures, and has been on medication for it for God knows how long. I was giving this heart worm prevention called Trifexis that a vet prescribed one time while I was out of town and come to find out from Dr. B, that it's actually really bad for dogs who have seizures! He's literally a lifesaver. I've seen his new associate once, Dr. Gessel, & she is so knowledgeable and thorough, not to mention a sweetheart. I know my baby is being taken care of when I take her here.
My animals have always received such good care from Dr. Bobo. The office staff has always been professional no matter what the situation. I would highly recommend Animal Care Centre if your looking for a veterinarian in the Frisco area.
We are new to the area so when I made an appointment to board my dogs I spoke with staff re getting their rabies shots and etc. done while they were boarding. They also said they would get records from our former vet. When my husband picked the dogs up the Dr. wanted to do more tests on our 13 year old dog with multiple health problems and also said she would not refill his medicine unless we did. I called and she confirmed this. When she started telling me what was wrong with him I told her we knew that and hadn't she read his medical records (we sent him with 3 different meds). She said she didn't have them and that I would have to talk to.... at this point I knew I was no longer going to use this vet. Why wouldn't she ask the staff to get their medical records. They were there for a week!!! What ever happened to common sense! I also told the front desk that they needed their heartworm and if they could give it to them after their test. They did not do this nor did they have the heartworm medicine ready for us when we picked them up (which is clearly what I requested). I am going back to my old vet even though he is a 40 minute drive.
Horrible, staff is rude, there is and has been a huge turnover. I know based on my dear friends that only go there for Dr. Bobo. I don't personally go there because I could not get past the rudeness when I called for pricing over the phone. I had heard they have had many nice professional people that worked up. They have told me they can't stand the current staff, the fence was broken for years and that they do boarding hum?? I also heard one positive thing is their groomer is great, guess you just have to bypass the front office staff. What would concern me is if what you see when you walk in as your first impression, what goes on behind the scenes. Me personally, my dogs are too important to wonder if my dogs would be really cared for either way best of luck if you want to walk through the doors. Me I choose to be able to walk in and see the place from front to back and if I don't like what I hear on the phone, then I will never step foot in that place.
I took my 17 year old Lhasa to Animal Care Clinic to be groomed. I assumed that since the grooming was done at a vet, that my dog would be in good hands and if anything were to go wrong, they could easily deal with it. When I went to pick up my dog, I could see the assistant groomer pulling on his leash and my dogs head moving forward, but not his body. They said they were drying him off cause he was just outside. The groomer carried him to the car, saying that he was tired. I noticed that he was shaking. When I got him home, I placed him in the back yard. He made no attempt to move. Finally I picked him up and brought him into the house. Again he made no attempt to move. He was still trembling. After an hour, I call Animal Care Clinic and ask if he was walking there. They said he had stop. I brought him back in so that the dr could examine him. He noticed that he had restricted motion in his left knee, but could not find anything wrong with him. He said he was exhausted from the grooming. He asked me if I ever considered getting him booties so he does not slide around, like in the groomer's cage. Something about getting off the towel and slippery surface of the cage bottom. He gave him a morphine shot and said to let him know tomorrow if his condition had not improved. The comment about the cage got me to thinking. He must have been struggling to gain footing in the cage and hurt himself. Who lets a 17 year old dog struggle in a cage to the point of exhaustion and to the point of hurting himself?! I will never take my dog back there. That is neglect. I entrusted my dog to their care and they did not care for him. For about 24 hours he continued to not walk. I made a little bed for him and he just pee laying there. The next day, he walked just a little bit to poo. But he was still shaking in pain. I called the vet asking if they could give him some pain pills or something. They wanted me to bring him in for x-rays for $135. I'm appalled that they charged me for the grooming and how want me to pay to determine what they did to him. I told him I would hold off on that. It's been two days now and he is walking much better and most of his shaking has gone away. I am glad that there appears to be no permanent damage. But the neglect that my dog suffered in their care is inexcusable.
