a Sunday visit during business hours for activated charcoal for a possible poison ingestion- 125.00 office visit and 200.00 for charcoal. Talk about opportunists. This should have cost about 100.00 not 325.00. This place is a rip off - stay away

I have been taking my animals to Dr. Mays for over 20 years. All the staff and Doctors that are at the clinic are very nice and friendly. They all care about the pets that I bring in even when it is just for a nail trim. They also do boarding and grooming which I have used in the past with great success. we will continue to use Dr. Mays with our animals. They have changed since getting rid of Dr. Mays.

I never been to location. But got a bill from them. Called to resolve the issue was told the this was from one of there partners. Which was untrue. Because I pay up front for the service from the other vet. I then called there partner they told me I had no balance with them. That they where having some issues with the billing system. To call the other office and have it zero out. When I called the lady who answered the phone then told me I would have to email them to resolve the issue. This would be fine except I don't work in front of a computer. Ask to be transferred to the manager then was told she not taking calls till jan 15th she busy doing end of year stuff. What? You send me a bill that says it's 90days past due and about to be sent to collections. But your manger the person that can take care of this is to busy. The other office that I have been too tried to take care of this for me because again they have a zero balance. They where told the same thing. I own a Bussines as well and if a Custmer called no matter what time if year it is especially With something like a bill that is not correct. I would probably find the time to talk to them a fix the issue. Or you may get a review like this one.

About a week after I purchased my dog from Petland he began coughing a lot. We brought him here since Petland has a deal with them, but now we regret that. They said he had Kennel Cough and prescribed medicine for him, but they never took any bloodwork or did tests of any kind to confirm that diagnosis. We came back 2 times in the course of a month and a half because our dog still had a cough and they prescribed the same medicine and said it can take some time for dogs to get better from kennel cough and no testing of any kind was done. Sometime later, our dogs cough got much worse so we brought him to a animal emergency room and they immediately did an X-Ray which showed he did not have kennel cough, but another type of lung infection that was being made worse because of the medication he was taking from Vital Pet.

READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE YOU GO TO THIS PLACE !!! First of all as other reviews said correctly ,Receptionist needs to go. the male clerk was nice ,he took me to the examine room ,the female receptionist came later and said I am late and need to wait in waiting room .I was late because I was stuck in traffic and could not find the place. She was very rude and unprofessional . After over an hour ,I was called to examine room again and again waited there with my exhausted puppy over 35 minutes ,I was told Doc will be with us soon. I complain and after 15 minutes ,nothing happen ,no one came to look for us .I canceled my appointment and will never deal with them again. I purchased my puppy in Petland in Plano and I was told to go there within 4 days .Its a shame that petland deal with unserious places like this .Just read the reviews and you will find out for yourself how you will be treated there .The Doc did not even show up once after I complain and waited there for over 95 minutes . This place shows no respect and value for your time ,female receptionist is rude and unprofessional and careless .I will never ever again take my pet in a place like this ,once of the worse experience ever ,There are much better places ,where customers are treated with respect and dignity they deserve
