After seeing several, (4), vets in town, I found CastleRock's Drs. Stummer and Parker who like to listen to their clients. What a notion! They also do no more than necessary IF surgery is required. Their facility is wonderful and the staff is ever welcoming. CastleRock supports my dogs and cats as well as my children's dogs. I took my 2 cats to get their teeth cleaned and a bath. 526.00 later. One cat had 3 teeth pulled and NO Pain Medication. AND NOONE told me my cat had 3 teeth pulled. Spoke to the vet today, her attitude was... First to hang up on me then...Well, they should have told you and he cannot have been in pain the 3 teeth were bad. And I will have to speak to my staff. No bath was given they called me and told me they were clean but needed to be brushed out. I am very upset that they are to care for animals and treat them as if my cat has no feelings. I asked folks before I took them to her, they liked her, but never again!

I would highly discourage taking your precious animals to Dr. Stummer and her team of "professionals." My dog, Gunther, had surgery to help correct his elongated palate, which is often done on English bulldogs so that they may breathe easier. After his surgery it was recommended that he not be left alone in the event that he vomits and aspirates. Aftercare arrangements were made with Castlerock for Gunther to be supervised during the day while we were away at work. This was a service that was paid for and the staff at Castlerock assured everyone Gunther would be well taken care of and there would be no problems caring for him during the day. However, he was not well taken care of and died while in the "care" of Dr. Stummer and her employees. I find this to be particularly disturbing as Gunther was at a vets office and if Dr. Stummer or her staff had indeed checked on him throughout the day as they promised I feel his death could have been avoided. She is trained to treat animals and in the event of an emergency perform any and all procedures which may save his life. There was nothing done to save him and the only phone call received by their office was to inform us of his death. I will never recommend this facility or Dr. Stummer to anyone.

Dr stunner and her team are good... good at making you feel stupid and insulting you there prices are good but there kindness is lacking id rather pay more money and have nice people who don't talk down to you!
