The service here is totally great. Most of the workers are very friendly and helpful and caring, but I did meet one female employee who was very rude and judgmental (and clearly expressed it) when I took my puppy in for treatment. Luckily she wasn't the one assisting me. The doctors were so kind and helpful, but they will try to sell you more services. The building itself is really wild, as the actual emergency clinic is underground, and you have to be buzzed in. If you have a pet emergency, you can trust these people.

My pet sitter took my 12 year old dog in tonight. They could not do anything without getting my credit card number. Fair enough. But then they could not do anything until getting my faxed signature. After complaining about the ridiculous delay, the doctor himself told me over the phone that he would proceed with the pain medication and nothing more could be done for 30 minutes anyway. After faxing my signature (and getting confirmation), my sitter called me again about an hour later to tell me they said they still did not have my signature and therefore were not doing anything. I spoke to the doctor who confirmed he had not even given my dog the pain medication because (here is the first story): he was waiting for my faxed signature. After reminding him he had told me he would go ahead with the pain medication while waiting for my fax, his story changed to a lame excuse about not having had time to give my dog a shot. I told the doctor to put me on the phone with my sitter so I could have her take my dog to a responsible clinic. At this very moment my dog is being treated at another emergency clinic in Houston (without needing a faxed signature). I am only giving this operation 1 star because the system will not allow a zero star rating.

I came home yesterday to take our dog out (she was 17, blind, and deaf) and she couldn't stand. Since it was after hours I took her here. She ended up having to be put down but the entire staff was friendly and caring. They went out of the way to explain that she wasn't in any pain and couldn't have been more compassionate. We've used them for emergencies on our other dogs before and, while they're not cheap, they are always professional and get the job done. Having been several times, I can't really believe the negative reviews below. If you have a pet emergency after hours or on weekends, this is the place to go.

We took our mini poodle to them because he couldn't eliminate. It turned out to most likely be bladder cancer, so we chose to euthanize him. At first, they seemed very competent and he even got to go to sleep in my arms. They said they would hold him for us until we could bury him. Ultimately this was for a full month. We discovered last night they LOST him. There was a white cat in a bag marked apricot mini poodle. I would never, ever go there again.

We have taken our dogs to this emergency clinic for years, and always found them extremely competent.
