OH MY GOD, THIS HAS TO BE THE WORST PET HOSPITAL I HAVE EVER BEEN TO IN THE 8 YEARS I HAVE HAD MY LAB. I JUST CAME FOR THERE, I TOOK MY LAB TO HAVE HIS EARS CHECKED OUT AS HE WAS VERY UNCOMFORTABLE AND IT SEEMED TO PAIN HIM. MY WIFE CALLED EARLIER LETTING THEM KNOW THAT I WAS ON MY WAY AND THAT IT WAS AN EMERGENCY. I THEN WAITED FOR ABOUT 15 MINUTES WITHOUT ANYONE SPEAKING TO ME AND THERE WAS ONLY ABOUT 3-4 OTHER CUSTOMERS THERE. FINALLY THE VET CAME OUT TO EXPLAIN TO ME THAT IS WAS CLOSE TO 7:00 P.M. AND HE HAD 4 OTHER DOGS TO SEE. HE TOOK ABOUT 5 MINUTES TO DO THAT. I EXPLAINED TO HIM THAT THE TIME HE WAS TAKING TO EXPLAIN TO ME THIS, HE COULD HAVE LOOKED INTO MY PET'S EAR AND GIVE ME A QUICK DIAGNOSIS. i COULD HAVE THEN BROUGHT HIM BACK THE FOLLOWING DAY. BUT THE IDIOT OF A VET DID NOT EVEN WANT OR CARE TO LOOK AT MY NON-HUMAN CHILD.........I AM NEVER GOING BACK TO THIS LOCATION AGAIN!!!!!!!!

This is for the Banfield side only. We have used Banfield for my dogs shots since he was a few months old and have always came here. Yesterday, he got a nasty slice on his rear pads. I called up a few hours ago to try to get him seen for this. They said they were full and gave me some numbers to other Banfield locations. Called them and they were all booked and acted like I was bothering them. I decided that I was going to come on in and try that way since I have seen this work for other people in my previous visits. The lady up at the front was giving all kinds of excuses on why she wouldn't let my dog be seen by anyone. When she finally looked because we were starting to get irate at this point, she noticed that there was something going on. She tried to get a vet assistant to look but couldn't. She told us to use some stuff and sent us on our way. One of the questions I asked is what if something got in his bloodstream since he was running all over the dog park when it happened? Either way, I will use Banfield for puppies because of the cost of spay-neutering and all the shots. Will be cancelled soon after.

I am so greatful for the quick actions of the staff at Banfield. I rushed our sweet kitty in on a Sunday, in great distress. Within minutes, we were in an exam room, and minutes later the vet and assistants were taking care of our kitty. He had a barrage of very necessary tests, and a diagnosis it seemed within 15 minutes. He needed an emergency hospital with 24 hour care, and they gave a list of a few places. We picked one in Sugarland. We were given his test results, a prescription he would need immediately, and were on our way as fast as we could get there. When we got to the hospital in Sugarland, they were already alerted to our arrival, and he was in care within minutes. Together, they saved our sweet furkid. And, the part time assistant at Banfield also worked at the emergency hospital we chose, so he saw a familiar face when he became more alert. I can't thank you enough, all of you at Banfield. You get my recommendation. Our kitty is purring next to me right now because of you and the great emergency hospital you sent us to. Thank you all so much.

I'm from out of town visiting family and had to bring my puppy in to make sure her mange was healing properly. My dog seemed uneasy around the vet trainee and started to growl and give little airy barks. I began calming her down and the vet lady just stood there staring like she was afraid. I assured her she won't bite you, she just needs to smell you. The young vet lady walked up to my puppy and starting growling and barking BACK AT MY DOG.....are you kidding me???????? Who does this? You hold out your hand so the dog can smell you and feel more at ease. I told her, Really? Your going to antagonize my dog while shes already feeling uneasy??? She didn't say anything but gave her a treat instead. When the Dr. finally came in the trainee just stood there by the door and wouldn't come closer which, at that point was fine with me. She needs to choose a different career path or QUIT BARKING BACK AT HER PATIENTS!!! Completely unprofessional. Very unhappy.

I'm NEVER going back to this location! I was previously taking my puppies to the Westheimer/Dunvale location but decided to transfer because this location was closer to home and I regret it!! My then 8 week old Doberman broke his leg and we were coming in for his cast bandages to be changed, they told us it'd be better for us to go to the other hospital since they knew what was going on, I agree that would have been a better choice but all they had to do was CHANGE the bandages. The nurse took my puppy and said they would do it in the back. At the other location they did everything in front of us so we would have a better understanding of what was going on. When they came back they said they had to take the splinter off because it was 'nasty, smelly, and gooey.' When I got the splinter back, it looked perfectly fine and didn't smell at all. It didn't look like they had cleaned it either. I paid and took my puppy home. Later that night, his paw was swollen to 3 times it's size!! This is a Doberman I'm talking about, his paws are huge AS IS! I took him to the Dunvale location and I'm going to be charged $200 EXTRA for a procedure done COMPLETELY wrong at Eldrige. I am EXTREMELY upset by this! Not because of the money but because my puppy had to sedated because he was in so much pain just so they could redo his cast and put the splinter back on. DON'T TAKE YOUR PETS HERE!
