Dr. Kathleen Smith from Scotland is an incompetent veterinarian! She charges naive pet owners unnecessarily to make her quota. In addition she is insecure in her field to the point she can't detect a heart murmur! Banfield hires unskilled labor to monitor pets under anesthesia and do dentals, I have reasons to believe, that is not legal. I know this because I am an RVT and ex-employee who blew the whistle on Dr. Smith.

This Banfield used to be ok and cheap. Now it is horrible. I would not go there anymore, in view of their new/higher fee systems and terrible customer service. My dog's SCHEDULED vaccination was switched by Banfield, because their doctors were overbooked for surgery (I heard this from their doctor and their technician). I was told to leave my dog there in early morning, but could not be guaranteed a pick-up time. "We will call you when he is ready". Note that our simple vaccination can be done in 1 min (I used to work with animals a lot at work). And I had to re-schedule my busy day around the unknown "We will call you". What upset me more is that they did not acknowledge the fact that they messed up / overbooked and did not want to give apology / specific explanation. The technician (who appears to be an new inexperienced one) at the counter said to me "I am not seeing the appointment, not sure what happened"...."are you sure this is the right Banfield?"......The technician also argued with me, refused to listen and kept interrupting me. "You gave me a tough time, Sir". Oh, yes ma'am, that is because you gave me a tough time first (and I am paying you for all that?). Please relax, as you will not see me again. You know, there is a good reason why all google reviews are 0 out of 3 so far.

The African American Doctor there is terrible. Our cat cannot pee. He not only failed to put the catheter into the bladder, which resulted in extra injury, but also delayed the timing of transferring to a better hospital. Our cat almost died because of the injury and delay. The charges are ridiculous too. He failed to do anything, but he is very talkative, almost talked us into doing a few thousand worth and risky urinary restructure surgery. He charged us above one thousand dollars for doing harm, and sent our cat to a most expensive emergency to take care of the mess he made, which costs us about 3000 dollars. Luckily we did not listen to his advice further, and took our cat to a much affordable clinic. With some simple supplements from Petsmart and Amazon, our cat recovered fully in a few days.

Awful place. No one cares about you or your pets. Go anywhere else but here, as these people are literally the worst of the worst. They will lie and cheat in order to get your business, and then nickel and dime you as much as they can.

The staff there do not care, do not want to be there, do not necessarily know how to do their job, and a vet will not necessarily be on staff when your animal needs treatment - then you can't go to another clinic where there is a vet on staff because your banfield care is only good for the once center. If you choose to go to their after hours emergency vet clinic you will be charged quite a bit. I switched to PetCare Express on Holcomb....I highly recommend you go there.
