My fur babies (two dogs, and a cat) have been patients at Beechnut for a little over 2-1/2 years. They have helped me through puppy care, routine care, specialized surgery referrals, old age arthritis and end of life between my two mastiffs. I started bringing my oldest mastiff in because I simply couldn't find a good vet in Houston, and travelling 1400 back to her old vet for annual vaccines just wasn't a lot of fun. (or practical, or cost effective, and a boat load of other reasons). The first time I brought her in, she was a little apprehensive. There must be a smell that veterinary facilities give off, because she hadn't willingly walked through the door at one in over 5 years. She did her typical sniff, sniff, and gave me the "mom, why are we here?" look. After we got in and settled in the exam room, Dr. McBride greeted us with loads of positive energy, a smile, and treats... (bribery isn't above any of us). From that day forward, she was actually happy when we got there and excited to see her people friends in the blue scrubs. They were able to provide an effective option for the management of her progressing arthritis, with minimal (read: no) side effects. It was cost effective, worked WONDERFULLY, and had none of the side effects that we had experienced with other medications. When I got a puppy they were great, even though the puppy (now 2 years old) judges everyone and prefers that you don't look at her, touch her, or speak to her, unless you are one of her people. She has let the Doctors and techs examine pimples on her chin, clip her toe nails (not an easy feat - I have scars to prove it), manipulate her legs, shoulders, elbows and paws for x-rays, gotten micro-chipped (she did give the dirt eye after that one) and had multiple vaccines, injections, blood work and an infection treated. At this point my fur babies have been seen by every one of their veterinary staff and they are all great! When something comes up and we need to be seen right away, the ladies at the front desk work their magic and are able to get us in that same day, or early the next day. I could write a short novel about my experiences with Beechnut Animal Hospital, constantly singing their praises. They are reasonably priced, provide amazing care and compassion, have positive attitudes, are beyond helpful and genuinely care about every animal that walks, crawls, flies, is carried or limps through their doors! Beechnut Animal Hospital is one of the best clinics I have been to.
I am so disappointed about your service, our baby "Niko Brizuela" was poisoned today. We ran quickly to the hospital a minute before the office close. A nurse saw our baby vomiting in the parking and she rapidly close and locked the door. I looked at her through the door, holding my baby in my arms that it was an "Emergency". She point out with her finger a phone number from a clinic. We were looking for your help and you guys denied a service to our baby. I understand she did not care about our baby life rather she wanted to leave early. My sister and I are definitely looking forward to change from hospital, someone who really care about our babies life and not a second early to close the door in our faces. A doctor is compromised and committed to save lives and not just to making money only. Thank for nothing we are not coming back, we have spent a lot of money in that hospital in the past. Our baby almost past away for you locked of service. However, from today you guys have lost a very valuable customers and friends.
GO TO THIS CLINIC! The doctors and staff of the Beechnut Animal Hospital are WONDERFUL! I've had animals treated here consistently for the past 10 years. The quality of care is exceptional. The doctors are very personable! The staff is always helpful and caring. You can not have your animals cared at a better hospital.
Our cat had a pretty bad infection so we brought her here and WOW were we happy with the service and care they have for animals. Recommend this to anyone!
