From the moment I walked into this clinic, until I left, my dog and I were treated with professionalism. The staff went above and beyond in helping me with my pitbull baby, as he can be animal aggressive. I would definitely recommend this clinic to my family, friends or anyone who needs help with their fur babies. To the people complaining about price, this isn't an ordinary vet, and yes the prices are high, but by the time you are referred to this clinic your vet has exhausted all of their expertise and you need a specialist. The reason they go over the cost before hand is a precaution on their end, it may seem insincere, but it is a fact of business; they are a business and make profit in animal care. I worked at a radiology facility, try telling someone with cancer and no insurance that the MRI they need costs (and is due up front) $5000 before they get the test, and see how insincere they see you. Everything costs money, and I'd like to think that they keep it to a minimum. Educate yourself about your animals care about what treatment may be life saving and what may be routine.

Our dog had a large lipoma that was growing way too fast (it turned out to be a sarcoma). They did a wonderful job taking it out. Since our dog had a sarcoma taken out before when we were in San Diego, we can compare side-by-side. Gulf Coast was cheaper, faster, better done... I see people complaining about the cost in their reviews. Not only Gulf Coast was half the price than the vet in San Diego, but also the final bill was right on the lower end of the estimate range. We are extremely satisfied, and glad to have our Labrador back home!

I have had only the best experience here. Nancy Doyle and the rest of the staff here have been wonderful. They have provided the best rehab for my dog Kali, and in my opinion the best she could possible receive anywhere. My dog hurt her leg while I was living in California, and maybe I am biased because California prices are really high, I didn't find the treatment to be too expensive. I would recommend anyone needing the best care for their animals to bring them here.

Let me start by saying that their staff (although young) were nice people. Unfortunately, this is definitely a business focused almost exclusively on making money. They were competent, but their rates were insane. They were very upfront with the cost. In fact, that was the first conversation we had. I had all of the detailed rates they were going to charge me before they had even seen my dog. I should have followed my gut and left. Unfortunately, we were visiting from Austin and didn't feel like we had other options. My dog ended up being fine, but $1,400 to run a blood test, x-ray, parasite test, get antibiotics and anti-nausea medicine seems excessive. Again, I have to say that they didn't twist my arm, but I'll definitely follow my gut from now on and look for other options. Lesson learned. ---- I just finished reading through the rest of the reviews. The reviews are either: People giving 1 or 2 stars: these are people who sound angry at the over-the-top cost --or-- People giving 5 stars: oddly many of their pets seem to have died under GCVS care... Weird. I'll be sure to read Google Reviews first next time.

Very professional, kind, polite and helpful. I spent a lot of money and time at a regular veterinarian, then requested a referral to Allergy and Dermatology at GCVS - best thing I could have done for my dog. Dr. Voie and her assistant Poala are very knowledgeable and made both my dog and I pleased with the care - thank you very much. Now I feel I am getting something for my money.
