Please know that Dr. Williams is retired, I've gone to this clinic in the past five years, I recommend Dr. Hendrix, I did not care for Dr. Pina she was very rude and stand offish. Even though I may have received poor customer service from the front office staff it's usually a hit and miss, I've taken my animals here and the vets actually treat the animals, not run tests to just tell you maybe or we do not know. My male cat was blocked and I took him to three different vets all emergency that wanted to charge 1500 to run tests . not get him unblocked then finally I brought him to Dr. Hendrix and he gave him a little squeeze and fixed him right up and he only charged me an office visit.

Dr. Williams & Dr. Pina also the staff are very thorough & courteous. I was adopted by an older male Chihuahua about 2 years ago & I took him in to see Dr. Williams, diagnosed him with arthritis the medicine Dr. Williams prescribed worked wonders for him so much that he was able to jump up on my 3ft tall bed without any problems. Lol As time went by Ricky Diezel is what we called him the Chihuahua started to have seizures and Dr. Williams examined him with such great care then prescribed him phenobarbital & yes that took care of his problems. Well needless to say as I mentioned earlier Ricky Diezel was older to the tune of 20 years old; I was blessed with 2 awesome years with Ricky Diezel & I must say that Dr. Williams made it possible. By the way when I called HVC to advise of Ricky Diezel passing they were so understanding with me & listened at me vent, then about a day or two I received a condolence card from HVC. What a wonderful jester & I truly appreciate all they have done for me & my four-legged babies. God willing I'll be paying a visit to the clinic within the next few days because one of my babies has a fungus on his nose. THANK YOU HVC FOR EVERYTHING!!!

This is the only clinic my Bengal cat has even known. All staff are courteous, professional, and they will go above and beyond to meet your needs. Dr Hendrix and his tech were so patient with my cat at my last visit, and got him ready for his trip to Europe. He is a Bengal after all and not easy to handle, but I trust them completely. They kept me informed and educated me thoroughly. We are moving to Europe, and we will miss this clinic dearly. Thank you for the great six years of care!!

Never ever take your pets to Dr Quirk, she is the worst and no respect to others. Dr Quirk is sooooo rude. I dropped off my puppy in the morning for his paw infection. The Dr Quirk called me after 2 hrs and instead of firstly telling me how is the infection going with my dog, she took 3 mins to keep explaining me why I need to neutering my dog. I interupt her because I want to know how is the my dog's paw doing. She said " Don't interupt me, listen to me, I'm using my valuable time to talk to you, you need to listen to me....... " GOSH, she's talking like a queen and doing such a big favor just TALKING to others!!!! Shouldn't the Dr listen to their patients firstly to understand the situation???!!! And shouldn't the Dr treat their patients with respect?????!!!!!

How could anyone who has met Dr. Hendrix have a negative thing to say about HVC. No other vet in Houston has laid a finger on my beloved poms for 15 years and they have maintained perfect health even once when things got bad. The facility while a bit dated in decor is state of the art in their technology i.e. a blood test can be ran in minutes at great expense to them and only $60 to you. You would spend hundreds going through LabCorp or their competitors for the same analysis from your human doctor. Dr. Hendrix is recognized and praised by Texas A&M Veterinary Teaching Hospital - The Texas Heart Instirute of Veterinary Science - and they work cooperatively on cases that step outside the realm of a clinic requiring a hospital setting. The staff is friendly and very caring and professional. You may be stunned to walk in a clinic without an appointment and see so many people in the waiting area with their pets. That is because the word is on the street in the Heights that Dr. Hendrix is far and above one of the best vets practicing anywhere. amazingly with all that traffic I never wait terribly long to be seen and you will likely strike up a conversation with other clients who are just as confident as I am and friendly because this is the Heights and that is how we hang. I'm not a selfish person but I'm a bit reluctant to post this review as I don't want to see him overwhelmed with new patients and unavailable to see me on the occasion when I need him. He is well known at Texas A&M and you can call them for their opinion if mine isn't good enough. Unfortunately Dr. Hendrix will tell you as he has me that ultimately he loses all his patients and that is a fact of having a pet. Pets pass away as a part of life and I imagine any negative review is out of grief over this inevitable loss and a need to lash out with blame. The care given at HVC is the best of any CLINIC not mentioning Gulf Coast which is in their referral system. I'll close by saying they care for you as much as your pet and Dr. Hendrix has ascended to the official vet for the Heights as far as I or anyone who knows him is concerned. Take care and good luck! I also want to add that they are conservative in their treatment and do not play on your emotions as many other vets do and give you straight facts to make decisions on. I would spend an unlimited amount of money on my poms and they know it but are always very conservative with treatments and tests always letting me weigh the option with the information to make a value decision. They are far too busy to bother milking the client with overly aggressive testing and treatment and running up your bill as MANY other vets do. Someone complained about $600 for a complex spay of their dog. Call St. Lukes and price out a hysterectome which is a similar human procedure and you'll learn a cold lesson about the cost of medical care pets and humans alike. Go see Dr. Hendrid and tell him I sentcha!
