Dr. Christie Cornelius and the staff at Last Wishes were the bright lining in one of the hardest decisions of my life. They treated us with such kindness and compassion, I will never forget. My precious 14-1/2 year old English Springer Spaniel, Allie, had been diagnosed a week earlier with an inoperable brain tumor. When the medications prescribed by her neurologist would no longer control her seizures, Dr. Cornelius came to us like an angel in the night. Allie was terrified of going to the vet and in her last hours we could not bear to put her through that stress again. She was sleeping peacefully on her bed in her own home, with my husband and I by her side. Dr. Cornelius offered the 3 of us such a peaceful ending. It's the only thing comforting in this otherwise sad experience. I can not say enough wonderful things about Last Wishes. I am simply THANKFUL they are in Houston, and that they will travel to The Woodlands.

I've vowed I will always be by my pets' side when "that time" comes, I didn't want their last moments to be with strangers. I've anguished that those times had to involve taking them to the vet's office, a place that already stressed them. On this recent occasion, I felt there had to better way and located Last Wishes. Last Wishes made my pet's final moments, and my final moments with my pet, a calm, peaceful memory.

Once you reach this tough decision, Dr. Cornelius will hold your hand and treat your furry loved one and family with the utmost respect and dignity. It'll be okay! Blessings to you and yours!

I could tell from my beautiful Sophie's eyes that she was ready to go to Heaven. She was a faithful and loyal companion to us for 12 years so I wanted to make sure she left this world on her favorite pillow in the den with no pain and surrounded by those she loved so dearly - my partner, Titus our younger dog and me. Dr. Cornelius allowed this to happen by gently and compassionately explaining to the four of us how Sophie would pass away. She gave us our privacy as we said our last goodbyes and then again as we grieved after Sophie passed. The passing of Sophie was heart wrenching but I know she was very glad we gave her such a peaceful exit. I know I am going to face this situation several more times and I will again seek Dr. Cornelius' involvement.

Dr. Cornelius was the best thing that happened to me during the hardest time in my life! My beloved chocolate lab of 13 years, Austin, had to be laid to rest March 8, 2013. My vet recommended Dr. Cornelius because I did not want to take my dog to the vet to have it done. She was very understanding and compassionate throughout such a difficult process. My dog was able to fall asleep on the patio laying in the sun (his favorite past time) in peace and quiet. Austin was such an amazing companion to me over the years that there was no way I wanted to let him go any other way. I have referred Dr. Cornelius to several others that have needed assistance with their little companions. The price was not much higher than the vet and you don't have to do the long dreaded drive to the vet. The paw print and the card sent later was so very sweet! Thank you for providing such a service that can help others during a very tough time!
