Sunset Boulevard Animal Clinic is a fantastic place to bring your pet! They have been very prompt and friendly when dealing with me and my pet. Everyone truly cares about animals and it shows. I would definitely recommend this to friends, family and strangers.

The quality of veterinary care at this clinic is declining. The staff are kind and polite, but some are inexperienced and the Vets are variable. Dr. Dhame seems polite and professional, but he disregards clients requests and does things his way. His way is to treat with maximum therapy, and too much medications. Surgical skills are questionable, and again too much therapy (surgery). This "too much" approach is very costly and causes undo stress and pain for the animals in some cases. He is inefficient, which causes long wait times.

We recently took our 2 dogs (one is a 7 year old yorkie, the other is a 2 year old lab) to Sunset for a routine check up and vaccines. They were wonderful! The technician took his time, answered questions, helped us find the most comprehensive and economical preventatives for our pets. Yes, we did wait about 15 minutes for our appointment (it was scheduled for 12 noon on a Saturday), however - this is an EMERGENCY care clinic. Our dogs were thankfully in there for preventative care. If either of our dogs had an emergency, I would hope they would take us back before someone with an appointment who has healthy dogs without a serious emergency. So for people to complain about wait times is absurd. As mentioned above, the care we received was wonderful. Friendly and courteous staff. Furthermore, we were new to the clinic so I printed their $30 off coupon - I forgot to use it while we were there - I called them today, Monday, and they credited my account instantly. I highly recommend this facility - great experience!

The first time i went to this vet is was a good experience in 2013. I took the same pet, Madison, back 05-30-2014. this experience was terrible. They were so focused on trying to get me to pay $350.00 for a blood test and less concerned about my dog. Dr. Hines stated that my dog had a stroke. That was a lie. I will never come back to this vet again. There are better vets around and a lot cheaper.

I have 25+ years of pet ownership (cats, dogs, horses), and my pets have been under the care of a variety of doctors around Texas and the world. I am exceptionally satisfied with the care and attention for scheduled appointments and emergent events as offered by the staff and doctors at Sunset. I've had emergent situations - dog versus truck and dog versus rat poison - and in both situations, Dr. Dhami and Dr. (Z) Omarbekov saved the life of our pets, and went above and beyond the medical call of duty. I suppose doctors who treat animals must be able to empathize with their patients who can't speak, but Dr. Dhami and Omarbekov were empathetic and thoughtful with our questions and concerns. I happen to think the services and care are a relative bargain for both day-to-day procedures and emergent situations.
