Many of us come to the day when it becomes necessary to say "goodbye" to a beloved member of the family. That day happened for Hannah, my Pomeranian, last week. I have no doubt that the medical care she received through doctors Scheifley and McCarthy, along with their excellent staff, gave me well over a year of loving her and being loved back, but old dogs get tired and deserve their rest. I don't want to imagine having that experience in a more loving or compassionate environment with heartfelt human and animal care. As far as veterinary clinics go, it doesn't get any better than this one.

UPDATE after October 17, Boxer visit: another improved experience; and can provide 4 star upgraded rating. Good communication and manner. UPDATE review later on Oct.8 (2014): I did get a call back from Dr James; for the record he is not the doctor we have been seeing with our puppy or the other dogs. I am impressed with the feedback from Dr James, and counsel, so moving from 1star up to 3star, OCT. 8. TBD what future results will turn up; communication skills are a coveted find, not do often encountered. ENCOUNTER (1st experience): 1st encounter with our 8 week puppy was horrible; October 6th; all nighter; suspected the Nexgard... the morning call back from an associate (or 'assistant'); not so 'nice' to my wife & my thinking. After a free checkup with Dr James S. October 8th, we felt a lot better.

After many attempts to find a clinic for our Yorkie, we found a vet that deserves more than 5 stars. I usually don't write reviews but we had an amazing experience! This clinic met all expectations and Dr. James truly has a passion for his job. I highly recommend this place!!! I'm so happy we finally found our vet!

Dr. James is awesome!! My 13 year old dog and 7 year old dog have been seeing him for 2 years now, or right after he first opened...however long that's been. Dr. James takes a sincere interest in YOU as the owner AND your pet...he's great at explaining things and takes the time to do so, answering questions with patience. My older dog, Midnight recently had some sort of immune response where his spleen enlarged and it was a very scary nearly 2 weeks before his body got back to 'normal' and Dr. James was there with us every step of the way, informing us of his status when he stayed overnight initially and checking up on him after his release. Awesome vet, passionate, and great with both HUMANS AND ANIMALS!!!! We now drive over 20 minutes to get to Dr. James since we've moved, passing up at least 2 vets on the way. Wouldn't change a good thing. =)

Dr. James and his staff are one of a kind! The personal connection and attention they gave us and our kitty cat was excellent. We felt very secure and safe leaving our cat their for the minor neutering procedure, and all other services have been very affordable. We would recommend any pet owner to them!
