This vet is awful! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! I called him once after hours because my puppy had been vomiting all afternoon and into the evening. I told him the problem and said I wasn't sure what to do when we replied with, "Well I don't have a crystal ball. What do you want me to do?" um...you are his vet for goodness sake! You are supposed to at least tell me everything should be okay and different things I could possibly try. Instead he made me feel like a bother for being worried about my puppy. I have had one other negative encounter with him. Overall I would say never take your animals to him!

I have been taking my dogs to Kody for a long time... They have all recieved their shots and check ups from him since they were all puppies.. my recent dog was neutered there and Kody did an amazing job!!! My dog had some problems getting around and hit his incision and started howling and Kody came right outside and gave him another shot of medicine to help him and checked his stitches.. I have quite a few friends who not only take their small pets but also take their horses out to him.. I have never heard one complaint from anyone.. He is a very nice man and I have always had a great experience with him...

I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK! I took my dog in to get looked at because he was bleeding from his back leg and to get something to controll his alergies. First of all, when you first walk in it does not look like a clean clinic that I am use to bringing my dogs too, but that did not discourage me from leaving. I had the guy look at my dogs leg and his exact quote was "I have never seen anything like that before!" So I asked him what he would recommend doing. He said the best thing is to do an X-ray of the leg to see if there was any objects stuck inside but he did not have time to do the X-ray today. But, he said he could give him a series of antibotics shots and hope for the best. He quickly written up a $200 quote to get started and that didn't even include the X-rays. I ask him if he could do some type of skin testing to make sure what it was before giving my dog antibotics. He said that he does not do any type of testing and just goes by his experience. So, I'm thing to my self that he wants to treat my dog first before doing the X-rays???.....So, I was very hesitant and decided to take my dog somewhere else. He acted upset and told me that I still owed him $18 for the office visit, in which, I agreed to pay him if he could go ahead and give my dog something for his alergies. He told me that it would be another $18 office visit fee to treat the alergies. I asked him why does he charge an office visit for each treatment if it is on the same day? He stated because he can. So, basicly I paid him $18 for him to tell me that he has "never seen anything like that before" on my dogs leg. This is not a friendly clinic and I will not be going back there again. I had nothing against this clinic before my visit and I am just stating the facts that happened on my visit. So, if you still want to bring your pet there, JUST BEWARE! Just because the office visit is $18, you might not be getting the best advice for your pet and ending paying alot of money to have him inject whatever and stick needles in your pet and hope for the best. I believe that my $18 I spent was well worth me to know that I will not be going back and to warn others to not waste their time there.

Very down to earth, country setting. Friendly and cheaper than anyone else in Lubbock. I will only use this clinic for my Mr. Waffles... :)

ON Sundays, options on what to do with a stray dog are very limited- I went out to retrieve my morning paper, and found in my drive-way a beautiful, friendly German Shepherd- His ID tag showed "Caprock Vet" and a 4 digit #-- GREAT! My wife and I can't keep him even overnight, as we are "maxed out" on number of dogs, and again, there are ZERO options on a Sunday. I called CAPROCK VET and was relieved that I got him live, "KODY". I apologized for the call, and told him what had happened- He said UNLESS IT WAS A MEDICAL EMERGENCY he would not WALK ACROSS THE STREET and get the owner's info for us. HE HAD TO GET TO CHURCH, and if I didn't understand, I needed to just "try and figure it out" and hung up on me. So... if it was a medical emergency, you WOULD make an exception to church attendance?? Let me connect the dots... a Sunday "after hours" vet service for a sick or injured animal would probably generate a hefty fee, and you could handle that? Hmmmm...but compassionate strangers who MIGHT like to have their Sunday available, too, are to be burdened with the lost pet, not to mention the fact that the owners might be very upset about the lost member of their family? He was a rude, arrogant, and a self-righteous jack_ss who has no right to call himself a "DR" much less a professional- gotta love those avid church-attendees!
