My dog Anastasia was viciously attacked by another dog and was on the verge of death with a huge hole in her neck. I rushed her to the clinic and was seen right away. They saved her and the wound closed completely. I think If I hadn't taken her here, then she would have died. They are very kind and caring and did all they could to help my baby.
These people are shady and unethical. The vet had told me to shop for better prices on meds and that their office would honor competitor's prices. I showed up and get the run around from some junkie nurse/receptionist. They won't even give me a prescription as the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) suggests. This place is very shady and you can get a feeling that their concern is not your pet, but how much $$$ they can make from you. I am even beginning to question if my pet was truly given her shots.
i would give this place ZERO stars if i could. Seriously, went here for an emergency to put my animal down to save him from PARVO effects upon the prink of death..my puppy, Peanut, was literally whimpering and yelping in pain, clearly suffering from the horrid pain when Dr. Barbara Petrohan came in, and some 'emergency' this was. She literally had an argument with my mother and I upon the lawn care of bleaching and lecturing us that we 'shouldn't had puppies when the disease was still around' when we DIDN'T know it was in our backyard to BEGIN with! we found out upon this liter that we saw the signs of parvo upon 3 puppies out of 9. MOST never got infected. 1 out of the 3 was dying, and all i wanted was him to be spared from the pain. But the vet just sat there and argued until she had the LAST WORD. as if she was ego stroking herself, instead, of being compassionate to spare my dog from his PAIN. By the time she was finally going to do the procedure, he was pretty much gone after 10 minutes of arguing with us upon the facts we already know. She should had done the procedure then came back to give my dead dog back to lecture us..NOT argue with us, and sent us to the back of the clinic, like he was TRASH, when we ere very upset how this was handled..My puppy was a very passionate soul..who comforted me, in licks, until his tongue literally became useless in the last steps of parvo, when finally, the vet finally decided to take him away. i am OUTRAGED. She should be fired from this. This hospital had lost all their compassion, ALL. This 'Examination Emergency' is bunch of BS and i shouldn't had paid 80 bucks for something that was being treated as a 'check up' appointment, especially disrespecting us upon what was 'needed to be done' she should had done rather than 'what was needed to be said'. i dont need a class lecture when we had a life-death situation. I can only take so much waiting, and doing all that paperwork should had been at the front, i respect from all the paperwork procedures needed to be done. BUT, that VET shouldn't had argued with us, when we had a dying puppy, who needed to be SPARED from his pain.
Pet 911 review!! Please Share To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. I have sooo many complaints with what I saw wrong I don't know where to begin. So I will go in order as I saw them. First, Dr Petrohan came in, didn't glove up or wash her hand and grabbed the stray cat we brought in ( even after we told her he had a broken leg that was infected and oozing). So coming from a medical background I'm thinking to myself...what contamination from the last animal did you just bring in, and what bacteria from this animal are you going to take to the next pet you see? She did well inspecting the cat, until she came to the leg. She gave it a cursory glance and rattled off some options. Most likely it was going to need an amputation, but we needed to get several tests done beforehand. ...This was all fine, but I would need a few days to see if we could raise money to pay for the services. In the meantime I asked about antibiotics and cleaning and bandaging the leg. She said she would sell us the antibiotic and bandage the leg. I asked her how would she clean the leg, and she said she was just going to bandage it!?!?! Now once again my medical knowledge for treating humans came into play. If you bandage a dirty wound all that will happen is that you simply trap more bacteria in there and can make it worse because the bandage then prevents the pus from oozing out. So basically this "DR" has no idea about aseptic techniques or doesn't think it applies to pets...or the very lease strays that people are trying to help. The last thing that irked me about this place was when I said to just bill me for the visit and I would take care of the cat just give me a prescription for the antibiotic because you guys charge $12 more than it would to get it at walmart. I was told that the doctor could NOT write a prescription!?!? What a joke! SO if I refused to pay for an overpriced medication they were selling she was going to deny me the RIGHT to get my medication for the cat filled somewhere else where I could get it at a REASONABLE price. And then to top it all off, I wasted 3 hours to go thru this entire endeavor. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!
I was uncontrollably emotional when i saw a few drops a blood in her stool. She is a Miniature Dachshund 2.4 lbs and very fragile. After crying my eyes out during our entire visit Dr. Zamorano made me feel such at ease. Its the first time we own a Mini Winnie so i had no idea on the do's and dont's. The Assistants were amazing. Never taking my baby Scarlet anywhere else... We LOVE you all... and thank you soooooooo much....
