We got a German Sheppard Puppet on Saturday and eagerly looking for a vet but found no where opened on weekends. The puppet is lovely but full of flea, not toilet-trained and we are first time owners not knowing what to do except being stressed out. We took him to Petsmart and Banfield clinic gave us an appointment right away. Nurse Jennifer and Dr. Smith were very patient, knowledgeable, and kind to teach us what to do besides taking care of the de-worming, vaccination, and physical exam. It is such a relieve to have quick and kind service! We had making big progress toilet-training him and enjoy him very much! We really appreciate your high quality service!

I found the doctors and staff to be very nice and knowledgable. They are very good with our shy dog . The other users must have had a bad day. That is too bad because your pet will receive top rate care. We take all our pets here and love Dr. Moore the best!

WThis place is horrible!! I think the Vet may even be allergic to animals b/c he sneezes when he is around them. He shows no compassion or care for them. My baby ate something she was not supposed to & ended up pooping it out but still had bloody mucus so i was worried & had x-rays done at 8 am. They claimed she had a blockage & wanted to rush her into surgery at 3pm.(starting at $1500!) so i rushed her to Animal care clinic in Corsicana, who stayed late to help me (worth the drive. see my post) they were iffy b/c of the poor x-rays, so i had to point out where Banfield claimed the blockage was. When they opened her up nothing was there. So when i got home i started looking at the x-rays. The Banfield Dr. showed me the same x-ray twice & claimed there was a blockage (I did not have 2 of the same x-rays that he showed me) if you compare to the time on the other the bowel is moving. They had my baby go through unnecessary surgery. So they agreed to take the stitches out for free & he practically RIPPED them out of her. She was bleeding & screaming so bad. I WILL NEVER TAKE ANY ANIMAL BACK THERE.

I have had pet insurance through petsmart banfield vet for the last 4 years with both of my dogs. When I moved to Mckinney 2 years ago this location was the closest. They have poor customer service! I keep swearing I will stop using them. This last time finally did it. I brought my dog in for an ear infection and he had some dry patches on his back. They tested it and it was suppose to take a week. I called regularly to find out what it could be and they said it might be ring worm. It took them over 2 weeks to call me back and leave me a voicemail that it was an infection. I called them back and they didn't call me for 2 days. I had to call the doctor 3 times in one day and finally had to get a little ugly with the receptionist. He finally had her call me back to get a prescription. I was out of town and couldn't bring the dog in so they had to fax it to a walmart. I think the real reason is that they wanted me to come back there to spend money there. It seems like they always ask you to run tests on your dog that seem unnecessary and when you bring your dog in for something they need done it takes the FOREVER to get back to you. The time before this they prescribed medication for my dog's eyes. When I went back to get it refilled they told me that there must have been a mistake. His tests were normal and he didn't need the medicine for his eyes. My dog has a retina disease. This could have been a big problem prescribing him medicine he didn't need! Or could hurt him more! If you want a corporately run vet that looks at you and your animals as numbers and money go here. If you want a vet that takes time to evaluate and care for you animal go somewhere else. The insurance may not be worth it!
