Awesome service and very affordable

I took my very, very sick cat into Highlands-Eldorado Vet Hospital last week for the first time. I am so thankful for making the decision to place my "baby's" life in the care of the doctors and staff at this facility. Everyone there has been extremely caring and kind. My cat is now stable and feeling a great deal better! (I'm one of those people who consider my pets as children and now trust this hospital and would not have written this review if it wasn't truly heartfelt.) Thank you HEVH!

Dr. Taylor and his staff can not be praised enough. I came to them, like so many, needing a surgery for my Dalmatian but I was very resistant to spend money and/or cause her more or unnecessary pain. Dr. Taylor was empathetic, kind and helpful. Although still unsure, I agreed and today she is FULLY recovered and I am thrilled with the results. During the process his staff was and continues to be helpful, bright and just down-right great people. They got to know my Dalmatian and grew to LOVE her. She is so happy when return for check ups! When Dr. Taylor meets with patients, he is so kind, he asks questions pertaining to the animal's entire well being. He celebrates in our victories and helps us to heal through our set backs. I would never let another Vet touch my dogs. I whole heartedly recommend Dr. Taylor and his practice to any pet owner. From one doggie-mommie to many others: Dr. Taylor is your man.

I recently took my 8.5 year old Yellow Labrador to Highlands-Eldorado Veterinary Hospital to get some cytology work done. Dr. Taylor and his staff are very professional and friendly, as well as competent and willing to assist you in any means. The pricing was about average, with no sky high costs to shock you at the register. I really appreciated the fact that Dr. Taylor did what he needed to do in order to treat my dog and didn't push other services on to me.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Taylor and his staff here. My cat had been in his usual state of health when he suddenly got very sick, and I knew we needed to find a local vet to take him to. Highlands-Eldorado Vet Hospital did not disappoint. Not only were they incredibly nice and accommodating of my terrified cat, they offered explanations for every step they took and did all of the appropriate testing. Dr. Taylor kept my cat overnight for IV fluids and had him in surgery the next day for a small bowel obstruction. He and his staff called me to keep me updated, kindly answered any questions I had, and let me check on my cat as much as I needed to. My cat is very skittish and timid around strangers but he warmed up to Lauren there very quickly, who kept him company and checked on him at night. I was incredibly touched that both nights my cat had to stay on-site, staff always came in at midnight to check on him, including Dr. Taylor one night. I felt like my cat was really cared for. As a non-practicing physician who was used to working with humans, I felt really happy that my beloved pet was getting practically the same kind of attention that a person would get in the hospital. With even better support for the family in some situations! My cat recovered incredibly well post procedure, biopsy results came back promptly, and the closures were expertly done. He was extremely well cared for afterwards, too, with several follow up appointments and subsequent antibiotic shots. They're open late hours some days and on Saturdays which is really helpful for rigid work schedules. And the staff is very warm and friendly. Your pet and personal concerns for their health couldn't be in better hands here.
