This vet hospital had been on my list of "might need" for many years because they have one of the only veterinary chiropractors in the area and I have dachshunds. When I moved from Cedar Park to Pflugerville, I was happy to see these guys were close by. My fiancee has used them for years and I'd had one experience with them through him a few months earlier when Dr. Schroeder honestly and compassionately told us his kitty was ill enough and miserable enough to need euthanasia. I was impressed with her honesty and lack of attempt to encourage us to put his cat through useless and expensive treatment - an ugliness I've personally experienced at other clinics. I was in Pflugerville for a couple of months before my older dachshund, Oscar, went down. "Went down" refers to becoming partially paralyzed as the result of disc disease in his back. I cannot express in words how heartbroken I was. I love Oscar. I could not afford $3500+ for back surgery and am not personally able to provide for a paralyzed dog. I was afraid I was going to have to make a difficult decision. I did a lot of research on the web about IVDD (the disc disease) and found a lot of sites that strongly discouraged chiropractic care and encouraged a serious restriction of motion for 8 weeks. I put a lot of thought into it. Two years earlier I was strongly encouraged to have back surgery for my own disc disease. I didn't want to do this and found an amazing chiropractor who was able to return me to a pain-free state. So I'm a fan of chiropractic treatment. So I decided that I would allow Dr. Jack to provide chiropractic care for Oscar, complimented with a course of medication and acupuncture (courtesy of Dr. Mouser at North Austin Animal Hospital). Oscar regained bladder control within minutes of his first chiropractic treatment! I also followed Dr. Regan's recommendation to start water therapy (in our own bathtub at no cost) 3 weeks later. I am extremely happy this was my decision as Oscar is happy, healthy and pain-free as I write this ten months later. I have since brought all my animals in. Mostly for healthy well pet care and sometimes for healing. I recently had a second serious issue arise and, once again, Dr. Schroeder acted with compassion and care for my pet as her first priority. I adopted a puppy in May and had to travel a few days later. I had originally planned to board the pup with the breeder but that fell through. Since he was only 12 weeks I decided he would be safer boarding with the vet (how sad this proved 100% percent true). No sooner had I gotten off the plane at my destination that I received a call from the clinic. The puppy was dying. Dr. Schroeder said his lungs sounded like they were full of fluid and asked for permission to do xrays to determine what was happening. I said "yes, please do." She then said, "I was afraid to wait and already did the X-rays (if I'd said no I would not have paid them for this). Sadly the puppy had a major cardiac birth defect. I called the breeder to come get him so he could be seen by a cardiologist. That puppy is alive today. So this group of dedicated veterinarians has proven to me repeatedly that they truly care about the animals they treat and I'm happy to be their customer.

Very courteous staff. Expert doctors. I take my bunnies to this vet every time there is a problem or for regular checkups. The staff is very courteous and professional. The doctors are very knowledgeable and clearly explain the issue at hand and corrective measure to take. Highly recommend

I recently had to put my beloved cat, Phajja down, after enjoying 18 wonderful years with her. The staff was so loving and caring, I even received a card from them, along with an impression of her little paw. I am now going to adopt a small dog from a shelter and would not take my new pet to any other place, but White Rock Veterinary Hospital. I am sad, and will miss her, but I am over the moon with the Staff and Doctors. Thank you all sincerely, Q. T. Blake

I've taken my pets to a few different vets around Cedar Park, all were very point blank (it's a cat? That's $45). They did not express interest or care as to why you were bringing your pet in. The care and after care were amazing. I've only had bad experiences with vets around here so I was very on edge. The receptionist was very kind, asked why I was bringing my girls in and very flexible with me. And we got in quickly, which was important to me because my rattie girls are not good with being out and about. I wanted them in and out quickly. And they seemed to understand. I was surprised about how quickly we were brought in and VERY happy that there was a separate small animal room. My girls are TERRIFIED of the smell of cats. But the room was obviously kept clean and free of animal smells. My girls freeze up just when taken out of my room. But my energetic girl even fell asleep for a bit while waiting for results. The vet and assistant were patient with my rats when they did not want to be weighed, did not mind them crawling on their shoulders, having tails in their face or when they squirmed. I was VERY pleased with the gentle handling of my girls. The assistant even seemed to enjoy working with my girls. And that made a huge difference to me. The vet ( I didn't catch her name, I was very tired) was very quick, knew what she was doing, was easy on them during the exam and seemed legitimately interested in my girls health, unlike most vets who recommend unneeded procedures and medications that MUST be done SOON at only THEIR office. She expressed interest in their future health and even brought up a concern I had not yet expressed. I have thought about getting my girls spayed but was scared to do it. She was very factual about it, did not sugar coat it but told me the facts and explained the process and I think my girls will be safe in their hands. The doctor who would do it is the one I was told to see by another vet from a different clinic. I'm so glad I found this office, I would trust my girls with them from now on.

I don't trust any other doctor but Dr. Schneider with my pets. She understands my OCD and neurosis and really talks to me so I can calm down. When we had to put my Marilyn to sleep, she was there for us even though it was Super Bowl Sunday. Her husband even helped. She is one of the rare vets that truly cares not only for the patient, but also for the parents and she understands how much we love them. Thank you, Dr. Schneider. I will never forget how caring you were at the end and I am glad that you are still our vet.
