Fine for non-emergency, but I brought my dog in with a bite for treatment. Because the vet was in surgery, I dropped him off, filling out a drop off form with my and my husband's numbers. After 7 hours neither of us had received a call. Upon calling Banfield, I was spoken to brusquely by the receptionist/nurse and told that "we've called the number on file." When I arrived and asked why they had not called my number (the one listed on the drop off form and in the system as an approved caregiver) the receptionist/nurse was still flippant. The veterinarian was in another surgery and unable to give me clear instructions. The staff emphasized the difficulty my dog had under anesthesia, but no real clarification was given. The implication is that I should be grateful that the staff at Banfield couldn't bother to look at their own paperwork to contact me and in the process almost killed my dog, who came in with a "superficial wound" (their words). I'm taking him to a new hospital tomorrow, and I'm never going back.
