I would recommend going to another vet clinic. We've used Green Meadow for a couple of years. Our dog has epilepsy and requires her medicine or she will have seizures. One of the vet techs was supposed to fax her scrip to the pharmacy to be filled. This never happened. Due to their incompetence we ran out of the medicine over the weekend and had to go to the South Side Vet Hospital to get the medicine. Find some place that actually cares about the animals more than making money off of you.

I have been a customer of Green Meadow Vet for 11 yrs. Dr. Blanton and his staff are friendly and warm. Dr. Blanton especially is fantastic! I specifically request his appointment times to make sure my pets are seen by HIM. I do like the new vet that he has there Dr. Kleman, but I do prefer Dr. Blanton. I will say that a Dr. Cooper that now works at the Maine Street Clinic (a small branch of the GMVC) was very rude, authoritative, sharp, blunt, and dismissive. I never felt comfortable with her examinging my pets, and often disagreed with her findings, opinions, or suggestions. She seemed annoyed to be working with animals, people....honestly she just seemed annoyed to be alive. I never scheduled my visits with her on purpose and any time she wanted to do something I avoided her methods until I could speak w/Dr. Blanton about it because I didn't like her "this is what we're going to do, I am GOD" type of attitude. The staff, I think were well aware of it, as I'm not the only person to note it. Aside from that little speed bump, I can always count on Dr Blanton and his staff for great vet services. I found some of the reviews odd, as I've never had a rude word spoken to me by the staff at GMVC in the entire 11yrs I've been there aside from the one vet that no longer practices in the main office. The vet techs, reception staff, and others working there have always been very kind to me, my pets, and each other! I've never witnessed bickering or heard raised voices there, I've never seen anyone being disrespectful in any way to each other among the staff. They always have a smile on their faces and seem to enjoy working there as they joke w/each other and ooh and ahh over all the pets coming in. I did find one review weird in that they expected to piggy back on top of someone else's vet visit for FREE no less and then when the vet they needed (a rodent expert- which would be Dr Blanton) wasn't there they made an appointment with the vet that wasn't the expert? I find that shady. Why would you schedule with the vet that wasn't the one you wanted to see in the first place that wasn't there causing the new appointment time? And why would you think you could hijack someone's appointment because you have "questions" but find it perfectly okay to waltz in there and not pay for the time you're demanding w/out an appointment to begin with? Really? Strange.

I had a very bad experience at this clinic - the doctors themselves are wonderful, but the staff are ill-mannered, rude, short-tempered, testy ... you get the picture. I would rate Green Meadow below poor - fair if that were possible. For what it's worth, I used them more than once (both for boarding and for veterinary visits) ... I initially thought that their convenient location and solid doctors would make up for the staff, but that was simply not true.

My friends dog had an appointment today and i went with her bringing my pet rat along because she has grown a tumor. I was concerned so i tagged along to ask the vet some questions.Nurse said the vet that looks over rats wasnt here. So i decided to wait until tomorrow. The other vet (Jen Kleman) came in and started shrieking "Ew", "Yuck:, and "Gross." In my face about my rat. Honestly, that is just plain rude for a vet to say to the customer. She has no right to be a vet. She have to find another job. I have to find another place too.
