It is hard to find a great Veterinarian & Groomer. Well, Riley & Bella have the best! Dr. Kelly has been with them for a long time and we love her. Dr. Blessinger is awesome too. So between the two, we have two trustworthy, honest and they communicate so well with me about my two. Also, my mom uses Animal Hospital. Alley, her cat has cancer & if she needed surgery, she is just amazing! Took two tumors off of my girl and one was so close to her bottom of her eye lid & to make sure she got all of the tissue, we prepared for a slight disfigurement. Unless, you knew she had surgery... You would NOT even know. Her eye came out with no issues with the bottom lid. In general, all of the people are nice and the best thing is the HONESTY. They are not money pushers, they are true Animal Dr.s I have referred several people there for second opinions.

Great vets and the techs are usually top notch. Probably a little more expensive than average, but they have above average facilities and hours. I took a star off because twice I have called for grooming appointments on the Louetta location and because their phone system will auto connect to the other location, my appointment wasn't booked correctly, it showed at the Jones Rd. location. Make sure you get the appointment in the location you need. I have resorted to asking directly to confirm that the appointment is the location I need both when I start the call and just before I hang up.

I'm surprised to see all the negative reviews. My first experience was when we found a dog that had been hit by a car. Unfortunately he was too injured to save, but they were very compassionate to my then 12 yr. old son. The next time we went in was when my 19 yr. old cat was doing poorly. We didn't have an appointment but they made room for us. They were very reassuring and kind (once again) and after some tests, it was determined she was in early kidney failure, but also had a bladder infection. We left with antibiotics and she was comfortable again in a matter of days. We take all our pets there now and have nothing but wonderful care and service. The staff are all super friendly and clearly pet lovers themselves.

I am only writing about their grooming but it probably will speak volumes about their vet care too. I felt really lucky that they were able to get my dog the next day, because my normal groomer was booked solid for a month. When I called I confirmed with the man on the phone that my dog had all her shots that she needed and he was very helpful. I brought her in the next day, and the woman working at the desk told me my dog was overdue for one of her vaccines by a year and they couldn't groom her! I was shocked as I keep up with my dog's vaccines and my regular vet hasn't told me she is overdue for anything. When I explained this to the lady at the front desk she became very condescending. I left thinking it was my fault that my dog didn't have all of her vaccines, so I called my vet to see if she needed the shot. My vet told me the vaccine they were talking about is only required every 3 years, not every year, so my dog actually was up to date...and I was right (and the man I talked to on the phone first was right too). Having some of the staff that is not knowledgeable about something as simple as current vaccinations is silly, and it caused me to miss my grooming appointment, waste 30 minutes of my time driving to and from the place, and made me late for work because I had to take my dog back home.

I found a dog on a Saturday night that had clearly been abandoned and wanted to have the dog checked out before allowing the dog stay in my house and be around my children. I love the fact they are open on Sundays. They told me to come on in as soon as I called on Sunday. We waited about 20 minutes which is normal at any vet and then received the greatest care I have ever received at a vet. The tech blew me away at how friendly and loving she was to my rescue. Both the tech and Dr. Blessinger got on the floor with my new love and were very thorough and made me and my dog feel like we were the only ones that existed. They left it up to me on what tests and treatments I wanted to pursue on the pup. I highly recommend this vet and their office and this is after being a loyal customer at another vet for 15+ years.
