I had to put my dog down and had a great experience. The clinic was very affordable, while other clinics in the area were charging me $100 to $200 more. All the paperwork was taken care of when I arrived. They were all very kind and they had a side door in the room where I could leave unnoticed. I did not have to go through the waiting room, crying and sobbing. The last time I put a pet down I went to PetsMart, and it was an awful experience. After putting my pet down I had to wait in a long line to pay for services. All I wanted to do was go home.

LOVED IT for their unbelievable service! They surely know what they’re doing here! I couldn't get in for an appointment within a week so I went somewhere else. The place I went to informed me that I had to take my dog to a specialist. Therefore, I ignored their advice and I went ahead a made an appointment with Critter Fixer. I am thrilled of their knowledge and expertise. Critter Fixer took care of the situation and gave me 3 options for my dog, surgery, injections and or a knee brace! We went ahead with the injections that same day so thank you!

I hate how everyone bashes on this place. I've gone to Critter Fixer for several years now. I like that they are a very low-vaccination facility. My old vet would give my dogs vaccines that I didn't approve of and not tell me about it until I saw the bill after they received the vaccines. I've never had to worry about that with Critter Fixer. Many of the complaints come from people attending the low-cost clinic on Saturdays. Yes, it's hot outside in the summer, come prepared to wait in line, outside. It's a low cost clinic so if a large crowd shows up, then you will wait a while. I was just at the clinic 2 weeks ago and brought a new rescue cat and my dog. Yea, it was extremely hot outside, so guess what? I sat the cat INSIDE in her kennel. You have options. I've NEVER seen a dog not on a leash there, except for the little lap dogs. They even have free leashes there in case you forget your leash (or just want to take one to keep in the car for picking up stray dogs). So far I've been to at least 7 of their vaccination clinics through the years and I've never had a problem, or seen an issue. At the low-cost clinic, they always have the actual vets on hand. There was a lump found on one of my cats by the vet tech so the vet came over to take a look. She wasn't concerned with it, but she did a thorough exam to reach that point. One time I just mentioned that one of my cats kept throwing up. They immediately brought the vet over to talk to me about it and he spent a lot of time with me. I have had to wait hours and hours for an appointment before, a couple of appointments actually. You know why they have 5 stars from me still? One day my tiny yorkie got into some rat poisoning. I immediately called the clinic, which was nearing the end of a Saturday low-cost clinic. They told me to come see them immediately! My dad was rushing him there, but stalled some to try and pick up the poison to take there. When he didn't show within 20 min, they called me back and told me that time is of the essence. They ended up staying late that day to take care of my little yorkie. While I've been waiting for hours, I've seen them take in emergency walk-ins. They CARE about the animals. When your pet has an emergency and you're desperate for some help, you'll hope that your vet will take you in too. My yorkie was neutered by them and I opted for the pre-blood work. The results came back that he had high liver levels. The vet herself called me and talked to me for 25 min on the phone about what this means and my options and how to proceed for the future. I've never experienced such good service. I currently have 4 pets that attend critter fixer. Two cats and two dogs. I take all of my strays to their low cost clinic. I recommend them to everyone I know, but I warn them that they will have to wait for a long time past their scheduled appointment time.

Put simply, Dr Rogers killed my cat. He misdiagnosed her with a obstructed bile ducts and said she needed to either be put down or be on IV fluid everyday all day for 3 or 4 days. We obviously went for the fluids and when she didn't improve, he offered to put her down again. We went to an emergency clinic and got an ultrasound done, turned out she had a fatty liver and wasn't eating. Back at Critter Fixers, we spoke to another vet who decided to put a feeding tube in her and prescribed a lot of medications. I found her dead in the bathroom at the end of that week. It appears now that if "Dr" Rogers had done his job and diagnosed her correctly her liver would have had time to recover. Mr Rogers was rude and dismissive all the way and it pains me to admit that I should never have gone there again after it took him several visits and hundreds of my dollars to partially treat my dogs ear infection.

Never in my life have I had a more miserable experience than the one I had at Critter Fixer this weekend. I have an amazingly docile, calm and sociable cat. He's about 4 years old, and there has never been a person who's walked through my door who he hasn't immediately snuggled up against and loved. Today, for the very first time in his entire little cat life, he bit me. He bit me because of 3 hours of standing in line in the sweltering heat of a Texas summer, surrounded by unrestrained dogs and apathetic, disinterested employees who never once had his livelihood (or mine, for that matter) in mind. We didn't know what we were getting into today when we got in line. I've never had a vaccination program be anything more than just a 3-minute "stick and done", but in this place, the vets take some time to help each of the dogs and cats write their own autobiographies, in the process upselling them on every bottle of every product that their store sells. In many ways, it felt like a car mechanic for pets...you'd walk in wanting an oil change and walk out with new tires. After 3 hours of standing in a poorly planned, increasingly hot building with sterile white walls and pet hair everywhere, the single veterinarian on staff finally strolled casually over to my pet. By this point, the little fella had countless other poorly-managed pets clawing at his cage, and had sat in those claustrophobic quarters for longer than a trip to Austin. I know my brave little fella, though, and I figured he'd be strong for the few minutes it took to get everything done. Well, I was wrong. When the vet started brandishing the various deep-gauge syringes in front of his carrier, I think something in the little guy snapped. All the stress, the heat, the stimulation...it was too much. I tried to coax him out, and he bit me squarely on the arm. As soon as he did, the already-disinterested vet threw her hands up in the air and immediately cancelled everything. She handed me my receipt back, and they refunded me, and that was the end of that. There was never an apology. Not even so much as a bottle of water for the three hours of my life that I'll never get back, struggling with my anxiety disorder in a crowded room full of terrible people and their terrible pets. Not even a smidgen of empathy for the year they likely chopped off my cat's life expectancy in creating such a horrendous environment for the little guy. As soon as we got home, the once "aggressive" animal leaped out of his cage and into my arms, glad to be away from the trouble and the stress. He's been snuggling alongside me ever since. I want to curl up in a ball and cry for hours just knowing the trauma I unwittingly put the guy through, and I want to hold him and tell him it'll never happen again. Because it won't...not on my watch. Today, the "Critter Fixers" made an enemy out of a harmless duo, me and my pet, and made me regret ever finding them. They made my already hard day a little harder, and in the end left me with nothing to show for it but the haunting feeling that I've done a terrible disservice to my cat, the only thing in this life that's ever stayed by my side this long. If you're looking for a place that cares, a place that will treat you and your pet like you matter in some small way to them...run. Run as fast as you can. Don't ever come here.
