The Whitehouse Veterinary Hospital has been our go to place for Haley and Annabelle's care for several years. Dr. Reese and staff have always been helpful and professional in their recommendations for our dog's care. Dr. Reese helped us through a very hard decision with Haley when her level of quality life changed for the worse. Thanks for the help from all the W.V.H. staff. Paul Thompson
We have used Kirk Reese as our vet for at least 15 years. He has seen us through new pets and the death of old ones. His compassion and genuine caring is simply amazing. We also use the boarding services offered for our dogs and love it too! The staff is friendly and helpful as well, and have even made house calls when pets were old and we needed help getting them into the clinic.
I have had the pleasure of using Dr. Reese and his staff in the maintenance and healthcare for my two schnauzers for over three years. I have found their care and concern to be professional and personal at every encounter. I'm a 64 yr old pet lover, so I have lots and lots of experience with veterinary care. I have limited income and cannot excessively pamper, or provide unnecessary luxuries, but Dr. Reese and his staff do an excellent job of meeting our needs. I have, and will continue to recommend Whitehouse Veterinary Hospital to my friends and acquaintances. I think they are great.
Dr. Reese and his staff have treated our dogs for over thirteen years. The entire staff provides excellent service. They are kind and caring people. Dr. Reese is understanding and always provides us with the most complete information so that we can make the best choices for our pets. One of our dogs is very nervous and skittish around people. Dr. Reese and Jody have been the only people ever successful in calming him enough in order to provide his medical care over the years. Although we no longer live in the city of Whitehouse, we continue to make the drive because Whitehouse Veterinary Hospital is that good.
Staff is caring and detail-oriented. They are great with my two fox terriers and up to the minute on the best approach to flea and mosquito prevention in the area. But I am especially appreciative of the attention the practice gives to my non-dog/non-cat pets. Dr. Reese has an exceptionally broad background in exotic animal care, and he treats my beloved pet rats with the same level of care he applies to exotic and companion animals that cost thousands and thousands of dollars. I'm afraid I'm a bit spoiled, having moved to the area from a Midwestern town with a veterinary school and an overabundance of vets. I had a bit of sticker shock the first time I paid for an office visit or, sadly, had to put a pet down. But Whitehouse's fees are completely in keeping with acceptable regional fees for veterinary care. I know, because I called just about every vet within 100 miles of Tyler, TX looking for a practice that would even treat my pocket pets. Whereas, I noticed after several visits that Dr. Reese had been hitting the books and attending specialized conference breakout sessions focusing on common rodent ailments specifically to bone up on best practices for my pocket pets. Take a hint from Dr. Reese, East Texas vets: it's time to look beyond dog and cat owners for your client base. But the doc and his wonderful staff at Whitehouse are ready to give tender loving care to your companion animal, whatever its species.
