This place is terrible. Every time I've been here they have been rude, and the cost is outrageous. The first time I went in they gave my dog steroids for boils that were popping up everywhere. Come to find out it was a staph infection. Steroids weaken the bodies immune system, so he got much worse. They still charged me for it too. I told them I thought it was a staph infection when they first examined him and they told me "Well you're not a doctor. Not everything you read on the internet is correct." This recent visit I brought my dog in because the skin around his eyes and nose started to swell and blister. It looked like a allergic reaction but there was discharge so I thought it could also be staph again. We had given him 6 mg of Benadryl (half the recommended dose) the night before to see if it would help. It did a little, but we wanted to make sure it wasn't some sort of infection. All I wanted them to do is test the puss and give me the opinion on what it was. The doctor yelled at my mom for giving our dog something without consulting a vet because "You don't know if it's harmful to your dog", but we were told by a different vet that it was safe at 1 mg/lb. The kicker is that didn't even test the discharge and prescribe him Benadryl anyways. Sorry this is a long story, but I feel it's necessary to give people a better Idea of why this place is terrible. I feel like this vet does unnecessary expensive test and give unnecessary expensive meds so when they don't work you have to comeback and pay them again to get the right inexpensive test and inexpensive meds. I'm never taking my pets here again.
I've taken my dog here twice, the first time was because of a limp on her left back leg. She had a blister in between the pads of her paw. The "nurse" was the only one who actually looked at it and when she ran her thumb no over it, it opened causing my dogs foot to bleed. Dr Ford never even looked at the bottom of my dogs foot, only flexed her leg and said she had a stressed acl that could tear any day. Our second visit was for a heartworm test for a new prescription, which I was told could only be purchased either at the office or from the clinics webpage. Dr Ford does not write prescriptions to be filled anywhere else. Claiming that all other places (ie petmeds or Costco) sell black market heartworm preventatives and she won't endorse any other online orders. I'm never taking my dog back there again
Someone I trust. We met Dr. Ford for the first time just over 10 years ago. She is one awesome veterinarian! She takes the time to really get to know your pet. She loves them as if they were her own animals. She has taken great care of our beloved dog Jackson over the last 10 years. We recently had to say goodbye to Jackson and she helped us understand how he was feeling and helped us navigate some very hard decisions. We knew it was time to say goodbye early on a Sunday morning. We called her office and the on call attendant came in on her day off to help us say goodbye. I am so grateful that we didn't have to wait till Monday. Jackson was in so much pain. Dr. Ford's office and service is built on honesty and kindness. She is someone that I trust very much and our lives are forever changed by the service she provided.
Dr. Ford is completely rude, she told me she wouldn't work with my dig until he had puppy class, then strutted her dogs in front of mine and talked about how her dogs are much better than mine, he was a 12 week old puppy! she was upset that my dog cried when he got his nails clipped. I dont even think she helped my other dog that we brought in for a seizure, she just put her in a cage for about three days and said we need to put her to sleep, didnt say anything else, like what caused it or what treatment they did, NOTHING! but she felt like it was ok to charge us over $1200, also i think it is funny that there is a bunch of 5 star reviews and some 1 and 2 star reviews nothing in between, I think that most of the 5 star reviews are fake! DO NOT GO HERE!
These guys helped my very sick dog get back to as good as she could. She got us a pill that stopped our dog from itching. My dog no longer tears holes in her coat! The staff is friendly, and Dr. Ford is great! The rooms are clean despite my sick dog. ;). Thank you!
