I was referred to Dr. Bailey and his staff by a really good friend of mine who ABSOLUTELY loves her great dane. Because I know that she loves her so much, I knew that her input on vet would be straight forward and trustworthy. I got a puppy in November, and I have to say that he is the love of my life. So, I want the best for him. When I asked her about vets, she told me not to go ANYWHERE else but Farr West Animal Hospital. She knows, because she did an internship there. They know what they are doing. They have bed side manner. But most importantly, if you puppy or cat is sick, they aren't going to lie to you. They always have your best interest at heart. When in doubt, (or even when not in doubt) choose Farr West Animal Hospital!

At first I had an amazing experience! However, over time my starry dreamy eyes of wonder began to dim and I became disappointed with the service I received. Although, Dr. Bailey is a great doctor, neither he nor his staff calls to check on how my pets are doing after they have received treatment or when they have undergone surgery and I don't like that. There is never any follow-up call, at least that's my experience, and this was a great disappointment. The only time I hear from them is when my dogs are due for their shots. My other vet always used to call to check on my dogs all the time, even the vet himself call and that was so meaningful to me. His office did not just call to remind me to bring my dogs in for shots but to just check on their after care progress. His office also sent meaningful cards of support to us. I guess I was a little spoiled and so were my doges. Bummer, I really wanted to love Farr West Animal Hospital but my animals are simply not receiving the after care attention they deserve. The little things really do count!

Hate to say it, but I was really disappointed with my experience at Farr West Animal Hospital. Wait times were consistently much longer than my (very active) pets could tolerate--in one case over an hour. The office staff I encountered, while knowledgeable, were somewhat cold and unhelpful. FWAH is also extremely expensive. They charge $44 just for an exam, which is about $15 to $20 more than I've paid at any other vet. Dr. Bailey gave my cat a $50(!) antibiotic injection without first asking if I'd rather use much cheaper antibiotic pills. When I asked about it, it sounded like he didn't offer any cheaper treatment option for a simple infection. Dr. Bailey also forgot an important shot and test during one of my visits and I think he would have ended the appointment without them if I hadn't reminded him. Not a huge deal, but it certainly didn't make me feel like my cat and I were of great concern to him. Dr. Bailey also offered to help me find homes for some stray kittens who showed up at my house. At the time, it seemed like a really nice and generous gesture, and he said they liked helping animals get good homes. He said the clinic would post photos and notices on their Facebook page. However, even though I emailed photos to the addresses/accounts his staff provided, I got no response to my messages and the pictures were never posted. It made me wonder if they really are as committed to helping animals as they claim. Dr. Bailey seemed really nice and I wanted to like Farr West Animal Hospital, but I'd recommend going elsewhere. Without much searching, I've already found another vet who is much cheaper and much more attentive to customers' needs and my pets' care.

I love Dr. Bailey & his staff! Reasonable prices & Dr. Bailey actually loves all animals that come in! I bought a 6 week old yorkie (oops) and sent him to Bailey for his shots and what to do with his nutrition. The WHOLE staff fell in love with him and every time he needs an update they all love to see him. Even Winson (Dr. B's St. Bernard) says hi. Love them!
