Very caring and understanding! My 4-year-old yorkie is my baby, and is pampered as she has some health issues (hip dyplasia and a liver shunt disorder). She hurt her hip/back leg falling into a hole at a doggie park; of course it was on the weekend, and so we couldn't get her in anywhere until Monday--as a last resort we took her to Urgent Care, and they took her right in and got her all the help she needed! As a yorkie, she is very feisty and protective, and we have had vets that are even scared of her biting them; the vet we saw here (wish I could remember his name, I'll have to look him up to thank him for his help and care), however, was so different. My dog was not cooperating and was obviously nervous about being there, so he asked me if he could hold her (I was holding her for him to examine her); he took my dog in his arms and instead of trying to continue to examine her, he just held her there and cuddled her! It was the sweetest thing--he just cradled her in his arms and kept whispering words of comfort to her. When she calmed down he checked her out and knew instantly what the problem was, and was able to explain it to me very clearly. He apparently has done a lot of work with orthopedic surgeries, and so was very familiar with hip dysplasia (she's had it as a puppy and apparently her hip got knocked out of place again). They gave us some pain killers and sent us home (this was Saturday) and Monday morning called us up to check on our dog to see how she was doing--what vet does that? Seriously, so kind and caring--the receptionist/vet tech too, you could tell that they truly care about the animals themselves, not just doing it as a job--they were all so good to us! Definitely made an emergency situation much easier to deal with. :)
HORRIBLE!!!!!! took my puppy here because he was vomitting and having diahreah for a few days straight and completely lifeless. They tested him for parvo and it was negative, they said all they could do next was blood work and X-rays, which would cost me almost 1,000. They could not tell me anything at all!! Not even what they thought it was. We ended up just giving him a fluid shot there. I wasted my time and money $$ at this urgent care for NOTHING. Took him to another vet the next morning and first thing they did was tested him parasites, turned out he had one. Got meds and now he's all better.
This place a joke!!!! Took our dog in because she throwing up and acting very largic. They did blood work and told us she was dehydrated....no kidding, shes been throwing up all day. When we ask questions they treated us like we were 5 when they would answer a question. We went to pick the dog up and they pretty much said we are closed, take her to a vet somewhere and out the door we walked. We spent hundreds of dollars and they didnt give us any medication or help really. Take your dog somewhere else! We will never go back.
A trip here resulted in AMPUTATION!!!! Do not ignore this review! If you can take your animal ANYWHERE else, DO IT!!!! Their INEPT bandaging caused my vet to have to AMPUTATE my dogs PAW!!! My dog cut is carpal pad on a Sunday. This was my only option. They stitched him up and sent him home with a bandage. This bandage was put on FAR TOO TIGHT and my dogs paw, normally the size of a ping pong ball swelled to the size of the palm of my hand. When I got him into his usual vet, he ended up with a reperfusion injury when the blood flow was returned to his paw. This was less than 24 hours after it was bandaged. They wanted me to leave it on for 5-7 days!!! If your vet speaks to your animal and you in a baby voice, RUN!
NEVER TAKE YOUR ANIMAL HERE. Our 2 year old dog got into pre-workout (basically straight caffeine) We rushed her to the nearest animal hospital which happened to be Pet Urgent Care. As we walked in, a german shephard that was tied up behind the front desk growled and lunged at us and our dog, trying to bite her. They put us directly in a room where we sat.... for 30 minutes. As this was a time sensitive matter we were starting to get bugged. The doctor came in and basically told us how horrible this was for her and that is was potentially life threatening. He was saying this as if it was all our fault because we have this harmful substance in our house. He said they needed to induce vomiting and call the ASPCA poison control and walked out of the room. 10 minutes later, the tech came back in with a paper asking us to sign that we would pay for the treatment. By this time it had been 45 minutes and if we were going to induce vomiting, it was now too late. Before we walked out, we insisted they just give her the poison blocking shots and we would call the ASPCA ourselves (they were going to charge us $80 to make the call) Long story short, we ended up paying $165 to waste an hour that could have been MUCH better spent had we stayed home and done the research on the internet ourselves. I'm not even going to go into detail about how awful the front desk girl was to deal with. She had such an attitude. We will never ever go back there.
