Utah Pet Rehab and Acupuncture is a rare and wonderful place. Our 4 year-old -dog was diagnosed with elbow dysplasia. A small walk around the block, caused him to limp for days. Our personal vet recommended Utah Pet Rehab and Acupuncture. I was immediately impressed. The office is clean, and it feels like a doggy spa, not like a vet office. The atmosphere is very casual, and relaxing. Both Dr. Mc Call and Pat Werner are animal lovers. This is obvious when they are observed interacting with their patients. I have never seen an unhappy dog while I have been in the office. During our first visit, our dog was thoroughly examined and recommendations for his therapy were made. Every attempt is made to make therapy a fun experience for our dog, and not stressful. Our dog loves the peanut butter on the glass, while he is doing the underwater treadmill. I had no idea that our dog would tolerate acupuncture as well as he does. I am sure Dr. McCalls voice, and gentle touch helps. He usually sleeps through the entire thing. His progress is tracked with each visit, and therapy is adjusted accordingly. The results have been amazing. After a few sessions, we were able to increase our dogs activity, and his pain and limping had decreased significantly. Last fall, our dog was able to complete a 5 day backpacking trip with us. For anyone looking for a place that can help when your animal is in pain, or recovering from a surgery, this is the place to go.
