Payson Family Pet Hospital has helped me take care of many creatures great and small since it opened eleven years ago. In the first years the clinic was opened, I had a serious problem with litters of feral kittens in my barn. Dr. Ipsen gave them their shots and performed microscopic surgeries to neuter them while they were still young and cute so that I could get them adopted and solve the overpopulation of cats in my Payson neighborhood. It's been years since I've had a litter of sick kittens in my barn, and I'm forever grateful for this. As soon as I get a new pet, Payson Family Pet Hospital is my first stop. That's very convenient, because if I forget how old they are, I can call and ask the date of their first visit. The current staff is also very skilled. They recently managed to trim my kitty's nails without restraining her. I wouldn't have dared. She hardly noticed, and now she wonders why she can't hang onto the little bunnies that live in our yard. She'll have to go back for another trim soon. Obviously, I highly recommend Payson Family Pet Hospital and the very skilled and pleasant staff there.

Had an emergency on the road. Our dog picked up a treble hook in his mouth. One barb buried in his mouth and 2 barbs sticking out over his "Lip". Pretty scary. Tried to get in with some vet south of there and he was useless. Very happy we found Payson. Got a history on the dog so they knew what they were dealing with and then took the hook out in a minute. We felt so good about them we brought our other dog in for a consult on some lingering ailments. These would be our veterinarians if we lived anywhere near Payson. Technically good and kind. The 2 things that count.

I have worked with many Vets over the years, but Payson Family Pet Hospital is where I feel at home and where I trust the needs of the animals I love.

Payson Family Pet Hospital has been our Veterinarian choice for 7 years. Dr. Ipsen is an amazing veterinarian. He truly loves the animals that he cares for. The first time I ever went there with my new puppy he walked into the exam room, saw her and commented on how adorable she was. He took her little face in his hand and bent down and kissed her right on the nose. He had me right then and there. I now have 4 dogs and everyone one of them gets their vet care from Payson Family Pet Hospital. I drive thru 3 towns and past numerous veterinary clinics because a know and trust the loving, excellent care that my pets receive at PFPH . Regular proactive care, illness and emergency care I trust them for all of it. All of the doctors and staff are great.

Payson Family Pet Hospital is GREAT with my 2 pups. The only time I've had a somewhat "bad" experience was because they had an emergency c-section to perform right during my appointment but they did their best to get us in quickly. We had to wait maybe an extra 10 or 15 minutes before they got a vet tech to help us out. They are great about sending out vaccination reminders. I have called them up a few times on the phone to get an opinion about whether or not I should bring my pups in to get checked out and they are great about assessing symptoms and letting me know if I'm looking at an emergency or not. Plus they are open on Saturdays which works GREAT with my busy schedule during the week!
