They saved Logan when we thought he was not going to make it. He ate something that made him so very sick. The prices were more than reasonable and they were willing to go above and beyond making sure I was informed and knew what was going on with my Logan kid. they also neutered him last week... His cut was small... it is almost healed and he is doing great. He has started to be active again even though we have been trying to keep him calm ( he is a very active dog) And he has to wear the cone of shame until tomorrow. This is a GREAT place to take your animals! 12/08/2014 I found a lil "puppy' he was so sick.. we tried to save him... But we had to let him go to the bridge...They were amazing with me, I was heartbroken. I got a card from them about a week later.. these people really care about our fur kids. I wish I could give them a higher rating!
I have taken my dogs to these people for just over 4 years now and up til now I have been happy with the care that my dogs received. Today I had to take one of my dogs in for what we thought was a foxtail in his nose. Well the doctor called me back and said my dog has a tumor they think is cancer and should probably be put down. I went to their office to talk to the doctor and as soon as I walked through the door the first words out of the receptionist was "You owe 175.00". Not Im sorry about your dog,or let me get the doctor so you can find out more about your dog,or anything remotely resembling a sympathetic comment, just, "you owe 175.00". In all the years I have been going there I have never never left there without paying my bill in full. I have never experienced such insensitivity from someone that is supposed to be a professional. I will never go there again and I would not recommend anyone else go there until they get some new help on the front counter. Just an update. I originally posted this two weeks ago. since then I have gotten a second opinion and my dog that they wanted to put down does NOT have cancer! My thanks to the rude receptionist because had she shown any kind of sympathy at all my dog that just had an infection would have been put down. Thank you for your rude unsympathetic behavior! You saved my dogs life!
I took my rescued female boxer in to be spayed at Healing Hearts Animal Hospital. They called me about 20 minutes after I left and said that she was had previously been spayed and that I could come pick her up. Well..... last week she went into heat! We took her to our regular veterinarian, and they told us that she has NOT been spayed. Healing Hearts told me that she had not only a scar, but a tattoo that indicated she had been spayed. My regular vet said they must have been confused because she does not have a scar or a tattoo. I called them to tell them what had happened. The gal that answered was unapologetic and didn't seem in the least concerned. She said she was going to have the vet that looked at my dog call me back. It has now been two weeks and nobody has called me! I will NEVER NEVER take another pet to this lousy place.
I took my dog there in July, and he was correctly diagnosed with bone cancer. Although the vet had the correct diagnosis, her prognosis was hap-hazzard and unprofessional. She said we could 'assume' that the cancer had metastasized to his lungs, and gave him 2-8 weeks to live. Thank goodness that I took him to another vet for a second opinion the next day. This vet actually performed a chest x-ray, which revealed no cancer in the lungs. After amputation and chemo, my dog is still happy and thriving 7 months later. Another chest x-ray two weeks ago showed that the cancer has still not reached the lungs. If I had taken the advice of the vet at Healing Hearts, I may have euthanized my best friend months ago.
I give Healing Hearts the highest possible recommendation. Dr. McGillic and the staff are very attentive, friendly and professional. My fat cat Creep had a pretty serious couple of urinary blockages, and at one point, it was not entirely likely he'd make it. But because of their care, he's a happy healthy kitty again. If you want the best care for the best cost, I think you'd be hard pressed to find a better place to take your pet.
