Every time I call the clinic, the lady at the front desk is such a smart a** and is always bothered to answer any questions I have. It's your F***ING job lady! It's what you were hired for! I hope they read this and realize they need nicer staff. Customer service is the #1 thing to keep people coming back! I always wondered why the parking lot was always empty at that place!
Now that I am able to speak about this I would like to vent about how terrible this place was, My dog was sick last Tuesday October 29, 2013 I called when I got home from work around 3:45 and the guy/kid said they were VERY busy and their was only one Doctor that and would be lucky to get out of there after 5:00pm. I called the Emergency Vet Hospital only to find out they dont open until 5:00. By this time I was frantic 4:30pm I grabbed my dog she was an 8 or 9 year old Pomeranian very healthy Monday and now the next day bad sick. So I wrapped her in a towel got my 15 year old son to hold her while I drove to the Emergency place I live in Ivins and on our way by the Santa Clara office building i asked my son if the dog was breathing and he couldnt tell so I pulled over at that building and saw that I thought she has passed. So I decided to drive to the Dixie Vet just to see if someone could make sure she has passed as im balling the whole way pretty much whole day, got to the Dixie Vet about 4:40-4:45 walked in with the dog and said I think my dog passed on our way to the Vet is there anyway someone can check and make sure she really has passed. The hag behind the counter looked up at me and said VERY rudely I do not have a doctor here!!!! No cars outside no pts there until 5:00 just full of lies that place and I have taken all my dogs there and will NEVER go there again Nor will I tell my friends to go there. They make me sick!!!!!
I've been using Dixie for the last few years. Dr. Thode and Dr. Brinkerhoff are both very nice and both have treated myself and my cats well. Dr. Thode is great about giving me all the options and telling me what she reccomends based on what will WORK rather than what will cost most. She's been patient with my worrying and comforting when I needed it. The facility is clean and they are well stocked, usually I can get an appointment the same or next day. The only thing I really do NOT like is the staff (with the exception of the red headed girl at the counter and the Dr's) aren't very polite and honestly I've never seen any of them smile and they don't seem to like the animals or take any interest in them.
I live in Ivins and the Dixie Vet Clinic is really the most convenient option for my dog. A typical vet visit here will require an appointment and cost $42 + additional treatment costs like medication. If your dog requires vaccinations you can take your dog there the same day (call for best times) and that cost just covers vaccines. The staff are friendly and the facility is clean. I also got my dog spayed here.
