We've been going here for 3 years since adopting our lab mix. They have been great - when our dog had massive spontaneous bleeding at 2am, they took us right in and treated him before shock set in (which is often fatal). They are definitely there when you need them.
I have been taking my cats to VCA Alexandria Animal Hospital for at least 10 years. The entire staff--doctors, technicians, veterinary nurses, coordinators--are simply the best. I can never express adequately the gratitude I feel toward them for all that they have done for me and my pets. It is comforting to know that they are always there with just the right treatments and answers. I also like that so many of the doctors have sub-specialties which allow them to identify those times when my cats may need more advanced care or more specialized treatments. It is also a blessing that whenever I have had to say goodbye to one of my fur babies, they have been there to support and comfort me. Thanks, VCA-AAH!
We have been bringing out cat here for 10 years and we love it. When possible we try to see Dr. Augustine, however all the vets we've had appointments with have been fantastic. Yes, you'll have to wait in the waiting room past your appointment time. However, I also have to wait past my appointment time at the pediatrician's office too. I consider it a minor inconvenience for the excellent care of our feline family member. I would recommend, without reservation, this animal hospital to anyone considering it for their pet.
Excellent service -available 24 hours per day, and top notch caring people. Love them!
My 14 year old baby a German Shepard (he was abandoned by his mom so I took care of him from the day he was born now!) has heart issues - he is seen by CVCA for cardiac ultrasounds and such but 2 weeks ago at 4am (isn't it always in the middle of the night!) he collapsed - I thought he had died of a heart attach but he was alive I was FRANTIC absolutely freaking out and the nurses and doctor and receptionist at Alexandria totally took care of him and me - they took him right back to the critical care unit and were helping him even before I signed in!! I was so grateful for the immediate response!! I had been to a closer ER to my house and I was there 10 min with my dog lying on the floor and no one helped us - I did not even see a doctor - there was no one in the lobby and that other place was making my sick dog wait. Alexandria took him right in and SAVED HIS LIFE!!
