Dr Raab was so good with my cockatiel. She is very experienced with avian issues. She was a good listener, a good teacher, and willing to work with my limited budget. My bird was very sick, but with her expertise and willingness to trust my observations about my bird, his life was saved. I love that she integrated holistic and medical practices to help my bird recover. I think it made all the difference.

Dr. Magill is incredible! Shortly after I moved to Charlottesville, my 4-year-old dog developed a life-threatening disease (around 6/2012). I did not yet have a veterinarian here, so I went in not knowing what to expect and very worried about my dog. It became apparent very quickly that we were in exceptionally good hands. Dr. Magill and her whole staff put both my dog and me at ease. Dr. Magill is very knowledgeable and thorough, not to mention kind. She found a diagnosis quickly, ruling out all other options, and worked with us through the initial treatment. She has been very conscientious about following up with rechecks and often calls me personally to share test results and check in. My dog never shows any hesitation walking into the office or back to the treatment rooms, as he has with other vets. It's clear he's very comfortable with Dr. Magill and the staff.

I have had nothing but great visits with my dog, multiple cats and even a snake. Highly recommend!

I should have listened to the reviews, I only went with this vet b/c my dog was sick and the more highly recommend vets were booked up. Now I wish I hadn't b/c my dog may be alive today. Spent a great deal of money having my dog tested for illness, told everythign came back excellent, three weeks later she died. When I told the tech about it, although she was very nice she tried to tell me that these things happen unexpectedly, I told her there was nothing unexpected about it, I knew my dog was sick that is why I paid the vet hundreds of dollars to look at her and test her. Also, brought my other dog (who is a rescue dog) in for routine prescription medecine, for a condition that he will have for the rest of his life. He has a life long prescription for, and vet would not sell the medecine to me until he charged me to examine him again. Keep in mind that he saw him the week before and charged me for a wellness exam, but I was supposed to pay again because this was a "different issue." Then one of the techs told me my dog hadn't had any of his vaccines and would need all his shots, until I showed her the paperwork where he had all his shots earlier this year before I moved to charlottesville, then she argued with me that he hadn't had his rabies so I had to point to the rabies certificate int he file, which was also given this year. It was pretty insulting that the vet tech would imply that my dogs didn't have their vaccines without first looking thouroughly at the file, or maybe this was a tactic to make extra money off from me, who knows...but it seemed odd especially after I had brought my dogs twice to this vet facility already. Definately not going back.

I was there on July 2012 to talk about my dog’s issue. Non of the vets wanted to talk to me unless I will make an appointment and pay initial $75. I said if they are going to refund my money if they will not be able to help my dog. Receptionist said of cause not. They’ve done the service. …well every store allows to return merchandise if it is not a good quality. While this rule will not be expand to such kind of “service”?
