We had adopted a kitten and two days later found it unresponsive and gasping for breath, with its gums white. I called Greenbrier and they said to bring him in, but sadly he died in the car on the way. I continued on to the hospital and the vet checked him for us, told us he had died, and wrapped him in a blanket for us. Me and my daughter were treated with kindness and compassion. They let me use the exam room as long as I needed to compose myself, and even posed the kitten and closed his eyes. When I got home and my son wanted to see the kitten, I can't tell you how grateful I was that they had made him look peaceful. It was sad for us but the employees were so good to us.

Such a compassionate and professional staff. Our dog was injured while we were visiting family in Charlottesville, and we were so grateful for their quick response. The final cost was very reasonable (much lower than the original estimate) and our dog is almost back to normal already. We couldn't have been more impressed by the competence and empathy of the doctors there. Highly recommended!

Outstanding, We unfortunately had to take our very sick little dog in over a holiday weekend to Greenbriar and he ultimately had to be put down. It was a hearbreaking day, but the staff and especially the vets were so professional, honest and compassionate throughout the ordeal. They were very upfront with all monetary and medical issues, empowering us to make decisions but giving us all necessary information. When it was time to say goodbye to our dog, they knew how to make the moment as private and respectful as possible. They provided a paw-print memento for us, helped us transport away his body and even sent a card of condolensce. Their genuine caring for us and our dog really showed right to the end and I thank them for making one of the worst days of lives much more bearable.
