TERRIBLE. Absolutely horrible. Took our dog here while we went on vacation; came back to a disaster. She had horrific gas in the car on the way home. Little did we know it was a prelude to a week and a half of diarrhea. She got kennel cough... and when we walked in to the main room and they brought her out, she cowered from us. Yup... cowered. Oh, they conveniently charged us for "clean-up" baths without prior approval, because she somehow managed to have her own feces on her. Why this never happens at home but happens at Cooke vet, I still cannot explain. AVOID this business.
I am thrilled to have found Cooke Veterinary. Jackson, my chocolate lab, and I had our first appointment yesterday, and from the moment I walked in I knew that this would be our new favorite place. The entire staff goes above and beyond with their care. They made Jackson and I feel totally at home and showered my best friend with so much love. Dr. Cooke spent well over an hour with us, listening attentively to all my concerns. 8 minutes is all I have ever received from other vets. During Jackson's acupuncture treatment, the vet tech sat on the floor and helped Jackson feel safe the entire time. I am so happy to report that Jackson's ailments (which he has had for 3 years) have almost completely resolved themselves in the 24 hours since his treatment. We have found a safe haven, Dr. Cooke is brilliant and treats the entire animal (body, mind, spirit). We are lucky to have her in the area. Thank you, thank you, thank you
We have 4 dogs and 2 cats. Dr. Cooke and everyone at the clinic are extremely helpful and caring. They take the time to explain treatments, scenarios and options. 2 of our dogs have experienced herbal medicine and accupuncture with resounding success. You have to see the interaction between Dr. Cooke and your pet. She obviously has a great love for animals. You can't fake empathy and caring. She and everyone there are the real deal! We have referred several of our friends, all of whom live pretty far from the clinic. The drive is worth it. None of us would go anywhere else...
I first came into the Cooke Veterinary clinic a year & half ago with a very sick cat. Dr. Mosely diagnosed her with acute renal failure, something another area vet had missed because he insisted she didn't need blood work (she was 14 yrs old). Over the course of several months, Dr. Mosely, Dr. Cooke & their wonderful staff helped me care for my beloved pet, giving her the most comfortable end of life possible. When it came time to let her go, each member of the staff that was on duty that day said their goodbyes to her as well. In all my years as a pet owner, I have never seen a staff so dedicated & caring. The doctors are very thorough & take the time to explain diagnosis, prognosis, treatments & scenarios. They answer questions clearly & take the time to listen to concerns. The staff knows my pets by name & knows their personalities as well. I now have 2 cats & 1 dog & couldn't imagine having any other clinic care for them. The education they provide to me as a pet owner shows that they value preventative care over pushing pills. That they offer both Eastern & Western care plans shows that they are willing to examine every possible treatment option to help your pet in the least stressful manner. I will continue to recommend this clinic to any pet owner.
Greatest Vet. I adopted a dog, which turned out to have an enlarged heart. Dr. Cooke sent me to a specialist because she felt it was better for him. The specialist gave him 6 months tops. Dr. Cooke offered some western medicine, if I wanted. I fell in love with this dog in the short time of 6 months, I had him. It was expensive, but I felt I would just try a few appointments. I must admit I really didn’t believe in the stuff. He lived for 3 years with a great quality of life. After the 2nd appointment, he showed so much improvement. The specialist couldn't understand it. He swore it had to be what Dr. Cooke was doing. He jumped around like a puppy. Of course you can’t cure an enlarge heart and as bad as his was, I know that. After 3 years it finally could up to him. I have to thank Dr. Cooke and her staff for giving me 3 more wonderful years with my best friend.
