We have taken our two canine family members there on several occasions over the past twelve years. Sometimes the waits are long, tho all of us waiting understand that the most seriously injured or ill take precedence. Except for occasional lighthearted comments, I have never heard a complaint. There were times when one of our guys had to be hospitalized. Staff ALWAYS kept us informed, called us with updates, offered concern and consolation, and calmed our fears, accepted our tears. They provide such a welcome service as, anyone with a pet understands that emergencies ALWAYS happen on weekend nights, never Wednesday morning at 10AM. As we sit waiting, we talk, get to know each other in some unique way. I am often sad that I can never know the outcome of the loved ones of the people who shared the bench with me. The staff remembers our guys who always sense they are in a safe place with people who care, so they relax and allow the staff to provide the care they need. Thank you. During those times when you wonder if anyone cares, WE DO!!

A colleague of mine has taken her pet to this vet twice for specialist care. Although her pet seems to be responding well to her treatment, this morning my coll. had such a horrific experience at this facility that (as an animal owner and lover) I feel obligated to share it. When she walked into this facility this morning with her cat, there was a one-year-old dog on the floor in the lobby in extreme distress. She was on her side with her front legs held stiffly out in front of her. His lips were pulled back, revealing chalky-looking gums, and she was bleeding quite heavily from his rear end. Her owner was bent over her, trying to soothe her while distractedly filling out paperwork. The staff behind the reception desk failed to respond in any way, just going about their day, business as usual. In the interest of full disclosure, it should be pointed out that I have no idea what the backstory here is. I don't know what was wrong with the dog, I don't know if she had been seen at this facility before, and I don't know what else was going on emergency-wise at the vet. Frankly, I can't think of any potential answers to those questions that would make it acceptable on any level for staff members at an ANIMAL EMERGENCY CENTER to essentially ignore a suffering, dying animal on the floor of their lobby. Shame on all of them. Unsurprisingly, the dog died. After the dog was taken back to be treated, the pool of blood that she had been laying in remained on the floor until my coll.'s sister mentioned it to a staff member. Additionally, as he was paying (for what, I have no idea...) the dog's owner was handed his deceased dog's collar and leash fom a idiotically smiling staff member. I hope this was a stand-alone event, I really do. I hope that every animal other than this one who has entered this facility has received compassionate, capable care. I hope that there is some unfathomable detail that I am missing that somehow explains why this happened the way it did. I genuinely hope all of these things, but it will be an arctic day in hell before I'd even consider bringing my animal here.

They did an AMAZING job with my Abby. Abby was pregnant and when she didn't have her puppies we knew something was wrong. We went to GVEC and they did x-rays to see how many she had in there, ultra sound to look for heart beats and a cervix exam to see if she was dilated. All of which were necessary. We found out Abby had lost all of her puppies and she wasn't pushing them out. Our doctor, Dr. O'Kelly, took time out of his own day (while not at work) to research, call specialist and call me personally to find out how to fix Abby. Abby eventually had them on her own (without medicine or a c section), she was just waiting to pass them on her own time. She gave us all a scare but thank god for Dr. O'Kelly. He took customer service to a whole other level. When I was scared for my dog (and the bill) he reassured me and informed me on everything. On top of everything we walked out of there paying WAY LESS than when I take her to my normal vet. The cost blew my mind.

I took my little guy in last night because he was parvo Positive. Everyone was Very nice to my husband and I. They were all very informative and explained everything to us and answered all our questions that we had. I belive the drs name was dr chase he was very nice. It is very pricy, but it is a 24 hour emergency clinic so it is understandable. i know my baby is in good hands. i would recommend this er clinic
