I had a nightmare experience with my kitty at Town and Country. I took her in for a routine spay. When her blood was being drawn her vein was torn and she bled to death. They told us it was likely she was ill and had a heart condition that caused her death, not the simple needle stick. We had a necropsy done at the Virginia Tech Vet School and they confirmed she had trauma to her neck and veins and bled to death. She was a beautiful little kitten, loving and sweet. She will be missed every day. I will never return to Town and Country for any care of any animal. If no star was available that is what I would give the office. NO star is deserved.

I took my cat here to treat a bite wound. The staff was friendly and helpful. After unsuccessfully attempting to clean the wound (due to a very stressed and painful patient), Dr. Thomas was excellent at communicating possible treatment options. We decided on a route that was a great fit for my cat and my wallet! Mulligan (my cat) has recovered and doing great. Thank you Dr. Thomas!

Awful. The front counter personal act as they don't care. It always worked with my schedule so I stuck with them. They never have the same people there. Already called set up with another place. done with this place and dropping all money they wanted! !!!

*** ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS MONEY! THEY WERE GOING TO LET MY DOG DIE BECAUSE I COULDNT GIVE THEM $95 UPFRONT !!!!!!!!!!!!! I am very unhappy with the customer service i have received today when I called in. My dog was having a seizure (be reminded she has has them for a while and normally one lasts up to 5 minutes, so I know when something to not right) I honestly thought something was going to happen to her, I have never seen her in a sezxiure as bad as this one. I called in and asked the front desk what I should do and should I being her in? She stated that I should being her in, but it would be $95. I told her that I didn't have that kind of money on me, and no, no one can let me have it or borrow it or pay it for me. As all this was going on, she seemed like she didn't believe that I didn't have that kind of money and honestly to sum it up, if I didn't have $95 I shouldn't bring my dog there at all. Personally I think you are just out for money, I took my dog there the first time and the bill was $215.00, thats crazy. Im sorry but I will not bring my dog back there since they are just out for money, and I will make sure I tell everyone that has a dog not to go there, because its all about money and not the animals.

It really is ok. The people are very nice, I've never had a bad experience and it's good to know they are there at any time for emergencies. That being said, they are CRAZY expensive. They have misdiagnosed one of my dogs saying that she didn't have a UTI, they wanted to run every test under the sun to see what she did have and of course the cost was going to increase. I took my pup to another vet and they immediately ran a test for UTI and found that was exactly what it was, pretty much implying that a first year vet student should have known it from the symptoms. As much as I like the people that work at T&C, I have my concerns on the fact that they want to run as many tests as they can without using their education and experience to diagnose a problem. Only go there if your wallet is deep and you like wasting time healing your pet while putting them through unnecessary test after test.
