Monday was a tough experience but nothing negative toward Lake Forest Animal Hospital. The experience was tough because the determination about my St. Bernard (Jack) age 10 was that he was extremely ill. Jack had a tumor which was causing great difficulty for him to breath. I knew this day would be tough. Jack was the greatest dog and companion and gave his life to please his master as so many dogs do. A man's best friend they say is true. He never left my side so I did not leave his side. After the exams and news I returned to the hospital for one last time with my buddy. I recall Jack wagging his tail lifting his head seeing and hearing me and then returning to his normal position in pain on the floor. I was with Jack till the end and he will never be forgotten. Thank you Lake Forest, your team is excellent and extremely professional. The whole team was very personal and gave sincere comfort to me as I lost my pet. You have taken care or Jack for seven plus years and I greatly appreciate your services conducted to help keep my pets healthy. These days will come to each person who owns a pet and I thank the Lord that Lake Forest had been chosen to be Jacks veterinarian throughout the years. Thank you again and look forward to continuing to see you with my other best friends. Jack will be remembered because he was that St. Bernard that caught your eye. We are not sure now what to do without his hair all over the house but we will manage as the days grow further. Great vets and great staff. Everyone oohs and ahhs all over my baby when she comes in. They always have a smile and a treat for her. When your furkid is actually happy to go to the vet, what more can you ask for.

We have been using LFAH for over ten years. Through the years the group has been fantastic to work with; however, since it has grown from two to four vets the prices have significantly increased. Additionally, some procedures which were previously elective are now mandatory and not included with cost of an office visit, and several administration fees have been added. The recent surprise was a new $5.00 administration fee to use mail order pharmacy.
