I have used Princess Anne Animal Hospital since the mid 90’s. I cannot praise this business enough for keeping veterinary care affordable to the working class - especially preventative care. Twenty years ago as a young mother on a tight budget, I would not have been able to give my children the experience of growing up with a pet or teach them about the responsibilities that proper pet ownership entails without this reasonably priced resource. My children are now grown and benefited greatly from the dog and cat that help raise them. Currently I am in a better financial place but I will continue to support Princess Anne Animal Hospital.
I have been very pleased with this office! I have paid top dollar for vet care elsewhere and I was skeptical about taking my pets to a lesser priced office. Boy, I am so glad I did! The vets and the staff are amazing with their knowledge and experience. Their prices have saved me thousands in just the past year. I am so glad I switched to Princess Anne!
I can't even express how much I love this place. It's not the most glamorous office room but: 1. They give me 1/2 priced vet visits for the injured strays that I've brought in and later rehomed. They have ALWAYS been so careful and generous about this and made sure the little ones were healthy before going off to their new home. 2. We took our senior dog there who had (what appeared) to be a seizure and they diagnosed her properly with a vestibular disease and gave us 1/2 price since it was such a quick visit, and they didn't even have to treat her. 3. They will also recommend other clinics for the strays I rescue, like Kinchloe as doing cheaper spay/neuter treatments and do not mind doing so. 4. When we had to have our old dog put down due to jaw cancer, she went quietly and peacefully and they were very understanding) and not to mention, affordable!
I took my four pets to Princess Anne Animal hospital this week. The care they received ranged from a simple check up to playing, 'What did the dog eat?". All got wonderful exams. And the price was very reasonable. Our dog is requiring surgery to remove whatever is stuck in her intestine. I love how the doctor is being conservative in her approach. First we gave her something to settle her stomach and waited to see if the item will pass. After some time, we can see our dog needs help removing the foreign item. So, today we will have our dog in surgery.
If folks want to pay LOTS more for their pet care, feel free to look elsewhere. I've been coming here for many years and have always received good service. I don't feel I'm being pushed into buying for more care or meds than are absolutely needed. The vets have the animal's care at heart. Some reviews say that the folks are rude. I've not found that to be the case, but I'm here solely to take care of my pets and do so on a budget. They achieve that in spades. I guess there are many other vets in the area that will smile more, exchange pleasantries, and charge substantially more for their care. And not show any more care for the animal. They put my beloved St. Bernard, Casey, to sleep today. They were very supportive and allowed us to make the decisions at every point. They will listen to you if you say that you want to be present (or not), and consider your family's reaction to this very important decision to put our suffering pet to sleep. Nothing to criticize. I'm here for the animal care.. and from the crowded waiting rooms every time I'm here, many other folks are in the same boat.
