I would like to take a moment and thank Mrs Cyndi Vera. We had taken our wonderful loving kookie jo to the office because she was not herself.. she had given birth to 3 beautiful pups 3 days prior to visit.. i thought it was just the pups taking all her energy, and was just plain warn out... but something just wasnt sitting right with me about her condition.. she wasnt herself at alllll... and it worried me.. she starting getting really really skinny and looking awful. so we called around and found this hospital.. the doc looked at her and said she could have another pup and a few other issue going on.. but it was going to cost us something large we didnt have at the moment.. which put me in soooo much pain to my heart... Mrs. Cyndi came in and told us about another hospital that might help, she had called ahead and told them we were on our way over.. needless to say our kookie was in bad bad shape.. wasnt going to make it.. everyone just knew it was time for her to go... but thanks to Mrs Cyndi and Dr Kensik @ Lees Hill they saved our Kookie Jo and she is one healthy lil girl now... and the pups are now 5months old and have forever homes and doing wonderful... i cant thank Mrs. Cyndi enough from the bottom of our hearts... She saved my lil girl... I know this is suppose to be about Chancellor Animal Hospital.. but this is more or less how wonderful of a staff this place has.. the place is filled with caring people who try to do the best job they can to help others.. and that is what Mrs. Cyndi has done.. We have been back recently with our wonderful cat Zaphera Bella.. whom the doc just loved and Zaphera didnt mind her doing her job.. thank you again to all the wonderful staff ...
I will be transferring to another practice after my experience with VCA Chancellor. They are extremely pushy when it comes to recommending expensive services and medications and do not appreciate it when you question the necessity of it or ask for a less expensive alternative. Instead of being helpful and understanding, they instead make you feel guilty and continue to pressure you into their recommendations. Not only that, making a request for something as simple as a copy of your animal's records is a whole ordeal that you have to continuously follow-up on to make sure it gets done. It is like pulling teeth to get what I need for my dog while they try to squeeze every penny out of me that they can and that is unacceptable. (Like trying to charge me for a separate exam for a heartworm test when my dog is due for her annual check-up next month. The new practice we will be going to offered to do the annual check-up plus the heartworm test and her vaccinations in one visit, something that VCA did not offer even when asked. Like I said, they will try to squeeze all the money from you that they can). There are some staff members there who are excellent however there are twice as many who are either rude, incompetent, or both. It was not worth staying.
RUDE WHEN YOU CONTACT THEM! I called just to get a Rabies shot and they want to charge 30 dollars for the Shot and 59 dollars for the visit. After I state I'm not paying that much just to have a Rabies shot they were wanted to tell me I'm a horrible pet owner and that it's the STANDARD Price and she hung up the phone. RUDE
My dogs actually go more willingly to the vet than the groomer and always go here happily and stay relaxed. The staff at Chancellor Animal Hospital I have found to be very professional and compassionate when it comes to animals and are very patient with their owners as well. I had to take my dog in for a sudden medical emergency and it was just before closing time and they had other appointments waiting. They took my dog straight in for treatment and stayed after closing time to give him thorough attention and treatment he desperately needed. They have always provided me with helpful care instructions for my pets and have been very patient and understanding and have given honest assessments and recommendations on the best ways to care for my dogs. They also provided me with all regional 24-hour care clinics should I need help after hours for my "children." Excellent medical staff, I would certainly recommend them.
I called in to get my cat declawed after having called a list of 7 or 8 other clinics, and this one was over twice the price of every other animal clinic! Maybe they've got a good staff, but paying double isn't worth it!
