Our cat started acting painful early on a Saturday morning. We called around to many vets in the area to try to find someone who would take us in on an emergency basis, but they all kept saying that their doctors were off that day, or they were closing early, etc. We finally called Glen Allen Animal Hospital and they took us right in. Our cat was in pain from a urinary blockage and his bladder was filling. If it weren't for Dr. Burke and her amazing staff, our cat wouldn't have made it through the weekend (unless we paid an arm and a leg to go downtown to the emergency vets). The staff is extremely caring, very friendly, and very knowledgeable. The entire facility is clean as a whistle, and they will go to any extent to make pets comfortable (they even asked to keep our cat's treats with him because they made him happy!). This was our first visit to them, and several days later we got a beautiful card in the mail welcoming us to their veterinary practice. Dr. Burke's knowledge in her field is extensive. I highly recommend this vet to anyone looking for quality compassionate care for their animal companions.
