I have been taking my black lab, Diesel, to Massanutten Animal Clinic since he was a puppy. He is now 9 years old. Every experience we have had with this clinic has been a positive one. We have never had any trouble getting an appointment and the staff is always very quick in returning phone calls as well as calling a day or two before the scheduled appointment as a reminder. Results on labs/blood work are also relayed in a timely manner. All the doctors and technicians that we have dealt with are wonderful. They are very knowledgeable and demonstrate genuine concern and compassion for their patients. I have, and will continue to recommend this clinic for anyone who is in need of a vet.

I needed to bring our animals to a new vet. We recently moved from the midwest and I was told before we left there, oh, we think your cat has diabetes.. they did no tests and we had no time to try to have them done somewhere else due to moving. we got here and I found Dr. Jim. He is wonderful.. he not only informed me that our cat did NOT have diabetes but he had bladder stones... he needed surgery.. he not only had one.. he had five!!!! The clinic was awesome at letting us pay in installments.. and checking out about insurance plans for our animals. I would recommend them to anyone that wanted their animals treated like they were at home...

My girlfriend and I recently had a horrible experience with our veternarian that we had taken our dog to all of his life and we had to make that difficult decision to find a new care team for our pets. I had several of my friends and co workers reccomend Massanutten Animal Clinic. My first visit with my new puppy, Bismark, was wonderful and they treated us like we had been going there for 20 years. Dr Jim and his staff were so courteous and kind! We had never felt so welcomed even from our previous vet we HAD been going to for as long as we can remember. The ladies at Massanutten Animal Clinic,as well as Dr Jim spent quite awhile going over everything we needed to know about our new family member.and Bismark felt right at home while he was there( he was so comfortable he fell asleep right after they gave him his shots) They also have a "payment plan" that we signed up for to help us be able to afford all the necessary treatments for our new little guy, that includes the cost of his neuter! All of us including Bismark are so happy we found our new friends at MAC. All of the staff at MAC are professional,loving and fantastic at what they do! I higly recommend anyone to take the furbabies there!! Thanks again, you guys!!! You have shown me not all vets are after our wallets!!

My cats and dogs have been making trips to Massanutten Animal Clinic for nearly 15 years. They've been with me through some very difficult times and also happy and careful routine care. Dr. Jim (Svonavec) and Dr. Mark (Smith) have both seen my personal pets as well as countless foster cats. Their staff is amazing and many of the techs have been there for many years and know my animals by name. As sometimes things are with any medical office, you need to make sure you ask the right questions and provide as much info as you can on your animal's behavior/symptoms so that you receive the best treatment possible. If you don't understand something, both docs and the techs will readily explain things in as much detail as you would like. I'm always hearing of some new thought, procedure or protocol that they've learned. It's seems like they're always staying current and willing to discuss options in treatment. The docs work well together, too. On a recent routine exam with my senior labrador, Dr. Jim felt an abnormal mass in my lab's abdomen. He did the diagnostics necessary and then Dr. Mark did the surgery to remove it while Dr. Jim was also able to be present. Both of them and tech Christine helped that experience to be the best it could be for both my lab and for me. Had Dr. Jim not palpated that mass at a routine visit, we could be in an entirely different situation. The practice is very good with cats, too - even my psycho-while-at-the-vet black cat. I feel confident that each gets the care that he or she needs. Everyone is very patient, gentle and caring. Thanks Massanutten!

I have been taking my pets to "Dr. Jim" Svonavec at Massanutten Animal Clinic for nearly 10 years. I recently purchased a Miniature Schnauzer puppy and had the puppy's initial office visit today. The staff members are all extremely nice and seem to genuinely care about the customers and animals they treat. This particular visit was exceptional. Kelly explained a new Pet Annual Wellness "PAW" Plan that allows me to save around 40 percent on my dog's routine vaccinations and spaying. She took time to clearly explain the plan and to answer my detailed questions. I ended up purchasing the plan and am pleased that I did. Before we left today, Kelly scheduled appointments for the entire first year of Inga's life. For me, this is important as I prefer to know that I am giving my dog the best routine health care on the Vet's recommended schedule. Dr. Svonavec never seems rushed and I feel as though he gave my new puppy a very thorough exam. He talked to me on "my" level and didn't make me feel bad about asking lots of questions. He is a true professional and I feel confident about trusting him with my Miniature Schnauzer's health care. This is a well-run business and the staff members seem very happy. I'd recommend Massanutten Animal Clinic to anyone.
