Dr. Deutsch is a wonderful, caring, and compassionate veterinarian. He is the best vet I have ever seen. All of my pets go to Dr. Deutsch. I highly recommend him to all. He spends so much time with his clients, and is so caring. He went out of his way for us, and spent an enormous amount of time answering all of our questions. He is the best!

Dr. Rocky Deutsch is an extremely competent, caring, hands on, knowledgable veterinarian that I've encountered in the years I've lived in this area...which are numerous..and too, he's an extraordinary diagnostician,as well. We all love our pets as they are part of our family...who could wish for a better care giver for our beloved four legged creatures? I am comfident in the decisions he makes concerning my pets issues. Signal Hill Animal Clinic is an awesome place to bring your pets. They take amazing care of my Yorkie Isabell. We love all the ladies there...and Dr. Rocky knows just what to do when Isabell has a problem. We won't go any place else !

I recently switched from another veterinarian hospital to Signal Hill Animal Clinic. I'm so glad I did and my only regret is that I didn't do it sooner. Dr. Deutsch is a wonderful, personable, and very sweet veterinarian. He gave me more treatment options for my dog with chronic ear infections than any other vet before. He actually helped me treat the root of the problem which no other vet offered to do. He also found the reason for my pet's weight problem and treated a bad tooth instead of just telling me to pull it (which the other vet definitely would have done). I really appreciate that he does a lot of the "work" right there in the room with you. The other vet would always take my pet away and work behind closed doors, even for just an ear cleaning. It always concerned me. He also writes a lot of detailed notes and looks over my pet's history before the appointment.The prices are great, getting an appointment is easy, and I LOVE that I will always see Dr. Deutsch.. not whatever random vet is on staff that day. The front desk girls are great too and have sent me hand written cards before, which I really appreciated. I recommend Signal Hill Animal Clinic to all of my family and friends.

The following is in response to Erin Nye's recent review of Signal Hill Animal Clinic, and more specifically Dr. Deutsch. Ms. Nye presented her cat with the complaint that he was crying in pain when he attempted to have a bowel movement. Upon examination, it was determined that his colon was empty and his bladder was empty. Based on his history and presentation it was determined that he was having trouble urinating rather than defecating. Because his bladder was empty we were unable to obtain a urine sample for analysis. Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease (interstitial cystitis) was the presumptive diagnosis, and the owners were given strict instructions to observe his urine production because if he became obstructed, the condition could prove fatal. The patient was given pain relieving medication and fluid therapy which are the mainstays of treatment for interstitial cystitis. The owner was given a prescription to help relieve urethral spasms and promote urine voiding which she declined to fill. If the symptoms persisted, further diagnostics would have been performed, but the patient escaped the owner's care for 5 days. When presented to the subsequent veterinarian, the patient was 5 days further along in the course of the disease, and the sequential diagnostics were performed. We are glad that the patient is doing well and hope for continued improvement.
