With plenty of vet options in my home area I drive slightly out of my way for this place. Phenomenal! Though I've only ever had my dogs to the vet for spay/neuter and their regular check ups that changed this Easter. My doberman, Xena suddenly became ill and was admitted to the doc, spent a few days and ultimately was euthanized. (An illness she was born with but held itself under the radar until the final days) I've never in my life lost a dog prior to what would be considered old age years until this day. It completely took me to my knees. I don't think I would have made it through without the support and knowledge shared from this place. They called with check ins during the day and night while she was there. After, we received a signed handwritten card from them with numerous notes inside. I feel that they were up front and honest the entire time and answered my same questions over and over. When I could not get my doctor,, another happily and non-hesitantly came out and they were all just as patient as the other, some even sharing some of my tears. Dr. Salkeld is amazing. A special shout out to Dr. Wesson, Dr. Hodgdon who also jumped in at various times, Susan and Shannon and all of the front desk staff. They definitely hold a special place in my heart. We will continue to be "patients" of this awesome place.

I switched to McLean Animal Hospital because it was closer to my work. The front staff is friendly, efficient and polite on both the phone as well as in person. They along with the Technicians and Doctors make coming there an easy experience. I'm always able to get an appointment. The facility is consistently clean. There is hardly if any wait time to be seen or when you're picking up your pet. One of the things I appreciate is how the staff always offers to carry the dog food out to the van for me. I find their rates comparable to other veterinary practices in the area.

We are very happy with McLean Animal Hospital. Our dog is actually happy to go to the vet and runs in wagging her tail! As others have mentioned, the hospital hours are convenient and the staff goes above and beyond with every pet. Our primary vet is Dr. Hodgdon. She's thorough and gentle with our elderly pet and patient with our many questions as first time adult pet owners. She even helped us understand local vet practices while we were stationed overseas. Our dog has also seen Dr. Anderson and Dr. Sexton who we'd also highly recommend.

We have been going to McLean Animal Hospital for almost two decades and the vets and staff have been unfailingly professional, knowledgeable, and kind. They have always been flexible in trying to make sure we are able to get an appointment on short notice. We are especially fond of Dr. Stork but the other vets exhibit similar characteristics, combining specialized knowledge with hands-on diagnosis. They showed great sensitivity and compassion when we had to put to sleep our golden and made a donation to a vet training university hospital in memoriam. We highly recommend this practice. It may be more expensive but it's worth peace of mind for us.

Could not be more pleased or more confident with the care that our dog Barley receives at MAH. The doctors are so knowledgeable and very practical in their advise on care, the staff is extremely courteous and very accommodating, appointments are timely but they're always willing to work you in and costs are fair and competitive with other practices. We've been going there for about 9-years - all-in-all - a great place to entrust the care of your favorite pet. Way to go....MHA!
