My vet of 35 yrs retired and I struggled to find a replacement. After trying 3 local hospitals, a friend recommended this one. I have seen 3 vets over the last 8 months and liked each one. Of course, I have chosen my favorite (won't say which) but was very pleased with all of them so far. When I had my dog spayed in November, I actually was allowed to speak to the doctor on the phone after the surgery, and received a follow up call a few days later checking on my pet. To me, that is GREAT! It is also just as important to have a friendly staff. I really liked one of the first vets I tried before coming here, but the girls at the front desk were so incredibly rude (on 2 different occasions) that I refused to go back. So far, everyone I have encountered at Mechanicsville has been super nice. I think I have found my new vet!
