I have been taking my pets to veterinarians regularly most of my life and have never had as poor an experience as I did here. I started going to Dr. Price and liked her straightforward manner very much. I brought a 7 month old pup to her that I had adopted and was not unhappy with her as a vet. Sadly, about 6 months later, our girl was diagnosed with a relatively rare disorder. Per Dr. Price, there was nothing more that could be done for her and her condition would never resolve. We made the heart wrenching decision to have her put down humanely. I called in to make the appointment and was told that Dr. Price was out of town, but due to our girl's situation, she couldn't wait until Dr. Price was back. We were told that Dr. Amor would be available to perform the procedure. We were even quoted a price prior. When we arrived, we were put into a private room (I had my 12 year old daughter with me, as she wanted to be with her friend when she departed this world). Once there, we were told that the dog would have to be examined first - I had to explain that Dr. Price had just seen her and given us the news that she wouldn't recover. After a small discussion, they agreed, but stated that Dr. Price didn't have any notes written down regarding our conversation. We waited in the room with our sick girl (and crying daughter) for a long time. By the time we finally had someone come in to perform the procedure, we had been there just short of 2 HOURS!! (They told us when they made the appointment that these took priority.) There was never more than 1-2 people in the waiting room while we were there. They brought the bill in to settle up before the procedure was done and the charge for the examination (which wasn't done) was on there, plus a higher rate. The bill was almost $100 higher than quoted. I was ready to walk out with my daughter and suffering dog when they finally agreed to the original price and then put her to sleep. Never in my life have I seen anyone in this stage of grief be treated this way. They added insult to injury with the time waiting, the suffering of the dog and the family and trying to price gouge us all at the same time. While the front staff was apologetic, I was told that Dr. Amor was responsible for the wait, price, etc. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. What a way to end a friend's life and change my daughter's view on vets, etc. I hope that they understand how they treat people in this situation can affect things on a lot of levels. Make some changes.
Our family dog, Boots, received the absolute best care from Woodland Veterinary Hospital. We brought her to Woodland as a 4 month old puppy, and their doctors and staff provided superior medical care, grooming, boarding, advice and customer service for the next 16 and a half years. They helped us arrange end-of-life procedures and sat with us and our children when it was time to help Boots cross the Rainbow Bridge. We now have a new four footed family member, Cranberry! Woodland's doctors and staff made this shy, abandoned Beagle feel safe and welcome. We can't imagine going any where else.
We are going to this vet for 3 years now with our 2 cats and we love going there. Its very personal and I really trust them. Plus I love the team and extra services they offer.
We LOVED this vet and everything about the visit. The staff was very friendly and kind! Our vet today was Dr.Price and she was a doll! She took her time to answer all my questions and to make sure that she covered everything. She was very kind and compassionate. So glad that we found a vet that loves the animals not the money that is being spent on them.
I can not say enough great things about Woodland! It is so apparent that all of the staff have taken a vested interest in my pet and are always on the lookout for his overall health and well being. Knowing he is getting attention and affection while receiving services is such a comfort. I am thankful for all of the communication and updates the staff provide so that I am always in the know and can feel at ease while he is away. I highly recommend this amazing group of professionals!
