Compassion, comfort, and unparalleled professionalism. These folks love their work, and their patients! We've had many years of cat visits to here. Well cared for in-house residents, and neat clean premises. Baxter, our new Rescue kitty, had been horribly treated, showed up at their door, they took him in, nursed back to health (gratis), and then we were asked by them if we'd like to make our home his Forever Home. I, my wife, and Baxter highly recommend this wonderful place! O.
After reading all these reviews I based my final decision about taking my ill cat here on the fact that there were no poor reviews in the year of 2009. Big mistake! I ended up going throught some of the experience John S "Do not take your cat here" describes in his review. Upon entering, you are eerily greeted with the DISTURBING smell of cat urine - it hits you immediately!. Then there is the 1970's decor, including the fading ceiling tiles covered in moisture stains. Then you are called into a small unventilated room. It was so unpleasing to be in there! You can't help but notice the smell of cat urine and stains. And forget discussing your concerns - the Vet has her ideas already planned for your kitty. And when it's check out time she has added so many fees to your bill and done things to your cat you never even discussed. Don't waste your time or hard earned dollar here.
I have been taking my cats here since 2001. The vet is wonderful and caring. She explains everything to you and takes her time with you. I have had to make life and death decisions about my older cats and everytime I did, I felt confident that I had all the information I needed and that I was doing the right thing. The prices are reasonable too. I have two younger cats now and will continue to take them to the Cat Hospital.
The doctor and staff at the Cat Hospital are an example of excellence. They are tender and caring and, obviously, they love cats. I was very nervous relocating to a new area and not having a vet for my feline "babies". The Cat Hospital has calmed my nerves! One of my cats even required surgery, and I was unbelievably relaxed about the whole procedure. I feel my cats are in good hands here. I even drive 20 minutes from VB just to see them!! Occasionally there is a bit of a wait, but I think it is more of an example of the kind of care to expect when it is your turn than any type of inefficiency. Overall, I only have one thing to say - Thank you Cat Hospital!!!
